Avid readers of this blog will already know how much I enjoy browsing around the Antique & Collectibles Fair & the most recent one - at the Showgrounds in Ipswich - certainly did not disappoint. My mother & I got all dressed up & had a ball checking out all the stalls, talking to some of our favourite dealers & buying some things that we just couldn't live without before heading to the Top of Town precinct for a leisurely lunch at Fourth Child. For the occasion, I wore a stunning 1960s deep peacock blue dupione silk shift dress with faux pockets from a little vintage boutique on Etsy, a pair of silver leather slingback sandals with oversized gold buckles & wooden stacked heels from Florsheim, a natural woven straw bucket bag with diamantes from the delightful Oh Jo Jo Boutique to carry all the essentials (facemask, hand sanitizer, cash money) & a plethora of sparkly gold, silver & blue enamel beaded bangles from India that a dear friend brought back from a trip years & years ago now to pick up all the colours inherent in the look.

So elated to be sharing all the pictures from our Penny Family Easter celebrations with you all, starting with this stunning ensemble that I wore to morning tea with dear friends on Maundy Thursday before heading home to prepare the tablescape for Good Friday's Scottish breakfast with the family. The gothic "Alice in Wonderland" printed jacquard midi dress with black grosgrain ribbon ties (added by me in place of the pleather options) from a funky label called Black Friday via Dangerfield ties in loosely with the whole "bunny theme" of the long weekend & looks amazing when styled up with a pair of blue leather bow heels from a brand called Isabella that I found at Tides Boutique in Burleigh Heads (regardless of how amazing they look, the quality is not what you would expect so I wouldn't recommend that you go out & buy them but since I already own them & paid for the shoe repairs, I'm going to wear them as much as possible) & a blue upcycled vinyl shoulder bag from Country Road for a pop of colour. When it came to jewellery, I went a little overboard with a stack of vintage silver Mexican bangles that some friends brought back from an overseas trip last year, a vintage silver bangle from 20th Century Antiques & Collectibles at Coolangatta that my brother gave me for my birthday, a reconfigured vintage silver fork-turned-cuff that I was gifted as a Christmas present a few years ago & finally, a black pleather bunny ears headband from online emporium The Iconic to complete the look.

Spending some time in the garden on Easter Sunday morning celebrating not on the fact that a certain Easter Bunny has visited & left some yummy chocolates but that for us Christians, Jesus Christ has Risen! Hallelujah! I'm wearing a sweet floral & bunny print linen jumpsuit with three-quarter-length pants & tie straps from Princess Highway, a chunky knitted pastel ombre wool cardigan from my local Kmart store (in the kid's section - always a great place to check if you want something a little more fitted/cropped than usual), a pair of purple vegan leather slingback heels from celebrated cult-label Gorman for a modicum of height & a white faux fur bunny hat lined in satin from online retailer Shein as the ideal finishing touch.
