The Easter Long Weekend is one of my favourite times of the year for a variety of reasons both religious & secular (including eating loads & loads of chocolate)but what I really enjoy most is dressing in all the "springtime inspired" looks & decorating the house with all manner of sweet bunny & cheepy chick inspired goodies! In this blog post (& the next) I'll be sharing all the beautiful pictures from our family Easter celebrations, starting with this stunning outfit that I wore for our traditional "Scottish Breakfast" of Salmon Mornay & Hot Cross Buns on Good Friday. For a relatively warm day in South East Queensland, I styled up a cute brown & blush polka dotted cotton poplin midi dress with shirred bodice from Portmans with a pair of blush woven vinyl wedge espadrille-style sandals by a label called Bay Lane that I picked up at Obsession Shoes, a natural woven paper crossbody bag with fringing from A Cobblers Inn at West End (they have so many goodies that aren't just shoes/laces/shine products) to carry all the essentials, a gold & silver beaded & mosaic diamante bangle trio that a dear friend brought back from India a few years ago for some daytime shine & finally, a fuzzy pink faux fur pair of bunny ears from my local Big W store for a nostalgic nod to the festivities.

After all of the family festivities on Good Friday, it was lovely to spent Easter Saturday relaxing with something new to read - this delightful series of Victorian-era magic realism books by Australian author Allison Rushby. For the occasion, I wore a gorgeous pastel striped cotton voile puff-sleeved shirtdress with vintage-style belt from a label called Fate + Becker that I discovered at Oh Jo Jo Boutique, a pair of chunky lemon/lime leather sandals from Eos Footwear via Obesssion Shoes at the "top of town" in Ipswich for a modicum of height, a woven straw bucket bag with diamantes to carry all the essentials (also from Oh Jo Jo's) & a stunning wire, satin & faux flower bunny ears headpiece that I picked up from a seller on online emporium Etsy last year.
