Finally sharing all of the beautiful pictures from a family birthday party celebrating our darling little James turning another year older! Once again, there was a overarching dinosaur theme for our future paleontologist as well as a litany of presents to open, homemade scones with jam & cream, a host of doting family members to sing "Happy Birthday" & an amazing chocolate cake with chocolate icing & dinosaurs & gnomes in a ring on top baked by his loving Great Aunt... all fit for a special seven year old!
For the occasion - a humid Queensland afternoon outside - I wore a stunning monochrome spotted wrap dress in textured silk chiffon with a grey elastane slip from celebrated Australian designer Sacha Drake via the delightful Mangos Fashion boutique (online & in-store in Mt Gambier), a pair of soft gold vegan leather deco heels from Kitten D'Amour for a modicum of height, a natural woven straw handbag from H&M to welcome the summer & a selection of funky jewellery pieces - a pair of vintage horn hinged bangles (with silver & brass clasps, respectively) from a store called Collectible Creations in downtown Toowoomba & a square-shaped wooden bangle carved with the "One Ring" poem from Tolkien's "Lord of the Rings" trilogy that a dear friend sent me from his recent trip to New Zealand (where the epic cinema adaptations were filmed) - to complete the look.
