Finally sharing all the glorious pictures of this look, worn to dance to some Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass, which I have loved since I was a child & my grandparents would play the records. I've styled up this amazing dark floral organza puff mini dress with grosgrain ribbon straps (added by me) from cult label Selkie with a pair of black vegan leather dual buckle heels from Kitten D'Amour (the ideal pair of vintage-inspired dancing shoes) & a boxy black vinyl & suede handbag with silver handles from French Connection to carry all the essentials. When it came to jewellery, I wore some favourites - a stack of vintage Mexican silver bangles that were given to me by some dear friends & a heavy vintage silver bangle from 20th Century Antiques & Collectibles that my younger brother gave me for my birthday one year. A slightly cooler morning then made it necessary to bring a scarf/wrap & I couldn't resist a bit of pattern mixing with my beautiful Monet print silk that I picked up at the "Monet in Paris" exhibition.

Sometimes, there's nothing more nostalgic than a sweet little floral cotton dress on a hot, hot day. Bonus points if it has box pleats & those darling little bows at the shoulders. This gorgeous number from retro-inspired Australian label Kitten D'Amour - the "La Luna Floral Garland Stripe Dress" - is distilled sunshine, lollipops, daisy chains & all the good things about summertime's past & I absolutely adored styling it up for a morning spent enjoying a milkshake & hot chips at a local cafe with my father. I'm waltzing around in a pair of flesh tone leather & elastic lace up gladiator stiletto heels from Wittner for a modicum of height, a natural woven straw pouch bag with diamantes from the delightful Oh Jo Jo Boutique at the "top of town" in Ipswich & a Modigliani printed, limited edition neoprene & resin Swatch watch that some dear friends gave me for my birthday to complete the look.

There's nothing better than sharing good food in good company & with that in mind, I'm finally sharing all the pictures from a holiday lunch with "the girls" at my local sports club, wearing the stunning "Nights Interlude" bright blue & black floral cotton midi dress with ruffled sleeves & tie belt from Australian designer Sacha Drake. In my opinion, the mark of a talented designer is a dress that is well made but easy to wear & this one is no exception with its easy-breezy summertime silhouette & light-as-air feel for the hot & humid weather. To that end, I styled it up with a pair of black leather & elastic gladiator stiletto heels from Wittner for a modicum of extra height, carried a natural woven straw handbag with black resin beaded handle from vintage-inspired label Kitten D'Amour to carry all the essentials & matching silver & black bead choker necklace & cuff from Thousand Island Dressing to complete the look & tie it all together.
