At Southbank once again - on my way to an art appreciation event - when I just had to pose for some pictures in the beautiful sunshine of the parkland's famed Bougainvillea Arches that are just beginning to bloom before heading over to GOMA for a peek at the Creative Generation exhibit, showcasing the artistic talents of 37 high school students from all across Queensland & another viewing of Chiharu Shiota's The Soul Trembles because I just can't get enough of it! I'm posing up a storm (not literally, thank goodness - we've had just about enough of the rain for the moment) in a stunning opal printed chiffon midi dress with three-quarter-length sleeves & slinky satin lining from celebrated Australian designer Anthea Crawford, a sumptuous vintage satin cropped kimono jacket in a bright magenta floral print that was gifted to me by some dear friends for a spot of print mixing (there's something about thick, embossed satin that just feels so decadent), a pair of black matte leather heeled ankle boots from Wittner for a modicum of height, 40 denier nylon tights from Razzamatazz to keep my legs feeling toasty-warm during this cold snap & a black nylon 1990s-style handbag from Sussan to carry all the essentials including hand sanitizer & a facemask. When it came to jewellery, I wore some funky pieces that picked up on the colours inherent in the print of the dress - a chunky, retro plastic bracelet with a piece of Toulouse-Lautrec's "At the Moulin Rouge - The Dance" from 1890 printed on the middle piece that some friends found in a vintage shop & gifted to me & finally, a stack of rainbow faceted beads from Jeweled Bazaar for that touch of daytime sparkle & shine.

Scroll down to see how it all unfolded...

But first, coffee... with a little peek of Toulouse-Lautrec's famous 1890 work, of course...

Creative Generation, indeed...
