Finally sharing all the fabulous pictures from a day spent checking out the Queensland Museum's "Croc!" exhibit with my mother before heading over the Queensland Art Gallery to view Picasso's "Saltimbanques" (among other pieces) and finishing with a leisurely lunch at Ahmet's Turkish Restaurant & walk around Southbank Parklands with a Gelare gelato in hand for dessert. For the occasion, I wore a gorgeous white, burgundy, pink & purple modernised floral print cotton poplin midi dress with elasticated & purposely frayed neckline, puffed sleeves, an asymmetrical hemline & fabric belt with chunky gold buckle from Aje, styled up with a pair of lime leather sandals from a label called Eos (discovered at the inimitable Obsession Shoes at the "top of town" in Ipswich), a white & tan woven cane circular crossbody bag with tan leather strap from funky boutique Renee Loves Frances to carry all the essentials while keeping my hands free & some matching boho jewellery pieces - a yellow & rose gold cuff with semi-precious stones in shades of purple, brown & green with matching oversized square yellow & rose gold cocktail ring with purple semi-precious stones that were gifted to me by a dear friend the year that I turned 30 - to complete the look.

Can never resist a selfie...

I'm on a boat... kinda!

Quick coffee stop at Muse Cafe... for my usual Chai Latte, of course...

Picasso's "Saltimbanques" (1904-1906)
Translated as "itinerant circus performers," these masterpieces comprise of 15 loosely related etchings & drypoint sketches that were completed immediately following the 22 year old Spanish artist's relocation from Spain to France.

Spending some quality mother/daughter time dining at one of our favourite places - Ahmet's Turkish Restaurant - this time choosing the Garlic Prawns with Turkish Bread & the Lamb Pide - washed down with the always refreshing Rose Garden Delight mocktail, comprising of rosewater lemonade, soda water, flower petals...

Always room for dessert - especially if it's Coconut Grove Gelato from Gelare...

Finally sharing all of the glorious pictures of a recent mother/daughter morning exploring everything new & beloved at Southbank's Cultural Precinct - both the Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA) & Queensland Art Gallery - before heading over to the Parklands for a leisurely lunch at Ahmet's Turkish Restaurant & a cheeky little dessert from Gelare to finish! For the occasion, I wore a sweet navy & off-white floral polyblend mini shirtdress with puff sleeves, tiny gold buttons & a self-tie belt by a label called Lorraine that I picked up from Birdhouse Laidley, styled up with a pair of camel suede pointy-toed mules from Wittner for a modicum of height, a natural woven poly crossbody bag with camel vinyl strap from Strandbags to carry all the essentials & a stack of gold & onyx Alex & Ani bangles for that touch of daytime shine.

Courtyard Moments

Always a fabulous dining experience at Ahmet's Turkish Restaurant!
This time, we tried the Lamb Pide & the Garlic Prawns with Turkish Bread strips (as well as our usual Ginger Sparkle & Garden Delight mocktails) & they were AMAZING!

Finishing off with Gelare...
