Sparkle Baby!

A touch of sparkle for your Saturday evening! This unseasonably warm weather has given rise to a plethora of eclectic ensembles, most notably this mix of sparkly sequins & brightly coloured faux fur. I'm loving this trapeze-style shift in a beautiful shade of duck-egg-blue from Bohemian Traders, colour-blocked faux fur wrap from Zara, shiny rose gold loafers (with tassels!) from Verali, rose gold & silver watch from Guess & finally, a sweet rose gold & resin butterfly bracelet, gifted to me by some dear family friends.

Finally posting all of the pictures from a lovely day spent with some of my oldest & dearest friends. I'm wearing a vibrant rose printed cotton fit-to-flare dress with thin patent belt & matching cropped baby pink knit cardigan from Aussie brand Review for a touch of sweetness, mixed with a pair of black leather lace-up brogues with silver studs from Wittner for a little edge. Jewellery was simple, yet effective - a pair of silver "rose" rings from Thousand Island Dressing in Paddington for some daytime sparkle.

Seeing as it's Saturday night, I decided to post a little "dressing up" inspiration for those who may be in need of a little shake up of their going out attire... I'm all ready to attend a ballet anniversary gala performance & celebration, wearing a sumptuous black taffeta & red floral jacquard empire-line dress & bolero jacket combo from Montique, shiny black patent platform heels from Emerson at Big W, saucy fishnet tights from Legs by Leona Edmiston & an edgy chrome mesh hardcase clutch with black resin clasp from Taking Shape. When it came to jewellery, I kept it simple: a pair of stunning black faceted beaded bracelets from Thomas Sabo with assorted charms; some gifted by friends, some that I bought for myself to commemorate certain occasions in my life... when my "traditional" soldered charm bracelet ran out of space, that is...

Arboretum

Dress: Laura Ashley cotton
Jumper: White Closet cable knit
Joggers: Puma leather
Bag: Urban Originals vinyl with silver hardware
Hat: Before Sunset woven

Finally posting all the pictures from a beautiful morning spent at the Sherwood Arboretum with my cousin & her gorgeous boys! After checking out the ducks on the pond, we headed over to the boardwalk, "scooted" along in the sunshine until we reached the pontoon to wave to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary across the water before setting up our picnic rug under a shady tree for some sustenance & finishing our morning with a play on the equipment... Phew! No wonder we were so tired when we left for home...

I'm posing on the pontoon wearing a gorgeous "picnic blanket" checked cotton fit-to-flare dress from Laura Ashley, taupe cable knit cropped jumper from White Closet (purchased from my local TK Maxx store, which is honestly the best place to get knitwear for bargain prices, considering how short the winter season is in "The Sunshine State," as it's often known), sleek black leather sport luxe joggers from Puma, black vinyl crossbody bag with silver hardware from Urban Originals to carry all of the essentials while leaving my hands free for child & scooter wrangling & of course, the all important navy woven sunhat from Before Sunset to keep me shaded from the Queensland sun.

Nothing better than fresh bread with butter from my local bakery & ready-made salads from Soul Origin, washed down with some Arizona iced green tea...

Finally understanding EXACTLY what professional photographers go through on a daily basis...
