All dressed up to attend a presentation on the history of jewellery (& maybe try on a few sneaky little antique pieces that belonged to some seriously trailblazing women) wearing a sublime floral printed organza in vibrant shades of yellow & blue with voluminous peplum, statement ruffled v-neckline & black elastane lining beneath for modesty from Scandinavian label Ganni, a pair of bright blue vegan leather deco heels from Kitten D'Amour, a black velvet knot bag from an amazing little Spanish boutique on Etsy called Swinging Chicks Shop, a brushed silver cuff from Wallace Bishop (engraved with the words "All You Need Is Love") & a divine silver & onyx art-deco-inspired square ring from Precious Stones Jewellers that my parents gifted me for my birthday in 2020.

I'm so excited to share all the photographs from a beautiful afternoon spent celebrating a certain little fellow's fifth birthday with gifts & cake & a small gathering of family & friends! Despite the fact that due to inclement & unusual weather for Queensland (a sharp dip in temperature, wind & rain) his "water playground party" had to be postponed for a warmer day, the birthday boy was super chuffed with all of his gifts - particularly the Bingo backpack that he didn't take off until half way through the celebration - & was definitely happy to blow out his candles & tuck into his yummy Bingo birthday cake covered in bright orange Vienna cream icing & festooned with darker orange M&Ms.

For the occasion, I wore a gorgeous green & white gingham cotton empire-line midi dress with shirred bodice, ruffled straps, tiered hemline & black velvet bow detailing from whimsical British label Sister Jane's premium diffusion line, Dream Sister Jane, a vintage-inspired fuzzy white cropped cardigan from Kitten D'Amour to ward off the unexpected chill in the air while nipping in at the smallest part of my waist, a pair of monochrome vegan leather Mary Jane heels (also Kitten) & matching boxy black vinyl handbag with white piping & bow from Review, a chunky silver hinged bangle from Wallace Bishop on one arm & deep green resin snake bangle with red diamante eyes from Mrs Polly Lucite (gifted to me by some dear friends) on the other.
