Avid readers of this blog will already know how much I adore the classics with a little twist & this gorgeous ensemble is no different! The beautiful embroidered mesh midi-length sheath dress with satin lining from iconic Australian label Anthea Crawford is given a more modern vibe with a chocolate brown & brassy gold colour palette, a design choice augmented by the vintage-inspired chocolate brown 1930s style t-bar heels with buttons & bows from Kitten D'Amour (they wouldn't be out of place in an old Hollywood film in either black, gold & silver), a boho luxe chocolate brown tooled leather crossbody bag with brass hardware from hippie haven Trottie Becke to carry all the essentials, a pair of funky brass bangles on one wrist - a chunky vintage option from The Way We Wore Vintage Fair that came all the way from America & a brushed brass thinner option from Tree of Life - & a chunky brass & faux tortoiseshell resin cockail ring from Lovisa (that I've had for about 15 years at this point) to complete the look.

Sharing a few cheeky little snaps taken in my local Spotlight store while searching for material for an upcoming project. I'm all rugged up for the freezing cold day (a distance memory with the temperatures we've been experiencing lately) in a gorgeous zebra print cotton poplin 60s inspired mini smock dress from Scandinavian label Ganni, styled up with a pair of black matte & patent leather ankle boots with buttons from Wittner, black 40 denier nylon tights from Razzamatazz, a black leather shoulder bag from cult favourite boutique Pigeonhole & finally, a pair of vintage bangles - the first in silver & the second in brown animal horn & silver,  both from 20th Century Antiques & Collectibles (formerly Coolangatta, now Tweed Heads) that were gifted by my younger brother - to complete the look.

Carrying on with the denim theme (I am really LOVING all kinds of denim this season & last) with pictures from a morning spent watching the meandering Brisbane River from Fig Tree Pocket & maybe even fitting in a sneaky little chai latte at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary's outdoor cafe... I'm wearing a funky stretch indigo denim mini dress with gold zipper from cult label Gorman, styled up with a pair of black patent & matte leather loafers with tassels from Pitillos that I picked up from Obsession Shoes at the "top of town" in Ipswich, a natural woven straw handbag with black clasp from Witchery to carry all the essentials, a gold & navy enamel bangle with "fashion paper drawing" by Megan Hess that my parents gave me as a gift a few years ago now & finally, a single gold bangle from Lovisa to add a little daytime shine.
