All dressed up & off to a 1920s/1930s themed Murder Mystery "Whodunnit" Party that was loosely based - very loosely, I will admit, I'm just a crazy fan - of a certain Agatha Christie novel where friends gather in the hollow of a stately home & someone shoots someone else, leading to a visit from a particular Belgian detective who just happens to be staying in the area & who is happy to give his "little grey cells" a workout & turn it into a busman's holiday. But I digress... Poirot aside, it was a fabulous opportunity to catch up with some ladies I hadn't seen in a long while & wear a beautiful dress while doing so. This stunning little number - a black & blue floral lurex silk wrap dress with three-quarter-sleeves, midi-length fluted hemline & black elastane slip beneath - is from celebrated Australian designer Sacha Drake & really lends itself to the era in question, especially with some accessories to truly make it pop. These include a pair of black matte leather heeled ankle boots with pointy-toes from Wittner, 40 denier black nylon tights from Razzamatazz to keep my legs feeling toasty-warm, a black nylon shoulder bag with a vague crescent moon shape from Sussan to carry all the essentials (mask & hand sanitizer required in these times we're living in... oddly similar to back them with the Spanish flu come to think of it...) as well as a thin silver hinged bangle & pair of blue & silver beaded bracelets in the shape of a stylised infinity knot from Oxfam - all more than ten years old & still going strong.

Scroll down to see more & don't be afraid to tell me your favourite "Whodunnit" novel, play or film in the comments...
