Finally sharing all of the absolutely stunning pictures of the outfit that I styled up to attend a special event in my beloved River City just before Christmas last year! If you're an avid reader of this blog or follow my Instagram closely, you'll probably already know that I utterly adore "fairytale" dressing - that is, puffy, (mostly) baby doll silhouette dress in all lengths made from fabrics like organza, tulle & jacquard in pastel colours & baroque nymph/botanical/floral/dreamscape prints - & the beautiful "Venus Dream Girl" number from whimsical label Selkie with its mauve, blush & gold hues, medieval-inspired print & layers of decadent ruffled organza certainly fits the bill. I even added a plethora of purple silk ribbons to close up the open back detailing (there was one there to start with, right at the top) & the trailing ends just seemed to add to the otherworldly feeling as I spun around in the park in the dappled morning sun, protected from the elements by a rather large, rather shady old tree while on my way. In keeping with the fairytale theme, I added a pair of beige leather & elastic gladiator-style heels from Wittner for a modicum of height, a natural woven straw pouch bag with diamante detailing from Oh Jo Jo Boutique to carry around all the essentials & finally, a stack of sparkling gold & silver beaded & mirrored mosaic bangles that a dear friend brought back from India for that touch of daytime sparkle.

Quick trip to Scotland Yard Antiques in Marburg to pick up a Christmas present wearing a gorgeous retro-seaside-motel-inspired print cotton twill mini dress with puff sleeves & tie belt from Australian label Alemais, styled up for a casual morning with a pair of tan leather Saltwater Sandals & a natural woven paper shoulder bag from Sussan to carry the essentials.

In my happy place (a boutique changing room) wearing a monochromatic polka dot printed ramie midi dress from Portmans (straps added by me), a pair of white & silver leather sandals from Sundowner via Obsession Shoes at the "top of town" in Ipswich, a natural woven straw crossbody bag from Target & a vintage silver bangle.

Another day, another amazing Portmans dress! This time, it's an amazing brown & blush polka dot printed cotton shirred midi dress styled up with a pair of vintage chocolate brown leather sandals from the 1990s, a blush woven paper slouch bag from Cotton On, a stack of vintage Mexican silver bangles & a wooden bangle engraved with Tolkien's "Lord of the Rings" one ring inscription.

Short & sweet in this vibrant green textured jacquard mini dress with puff sleeves & white faux pearl detailing from British label Sister Jane, a pair of black vegan leather strappy heels with a 1930s vibe from Kitten D'Amour for a modicum of height, a cylindrical black vinyl handbag from Beach n Beyond at Coolangatta & a stack of vintage Mexican silver bangles for a touch of daytime shine.

A little wintertime throwback with this stunning ensemble - William Morris print organza puff mini dress from Selkie styled up with a denim cocoon jacket from Bianca Spender to ward off the chill in the air, a pair of navy patent heels from Paul Green via Peter Sheppard Footwear, navy 40 denier nylon tights from Razzamatazz & a navy vinyl circular crossbody bag with pompom details on the strap from French Connection.

Stopping for a delicous gelato milkshake at Anita in West End wearing a gorgeous green, black, pink & blue tartan cotton seersucker midi dress from cult label Gorman, cinched in with a black patent & elastic belt from That Shop, a pair of black vegan leather strappy heels with buttons from Kitten D'Amour & natural woven straw handbag with black leather clasp from Witchery & my usual treasured silver jewellery pieces.

Cute in a vibrant linen mini-length shirtdress with embroidery from Gorman & a pair of rope sandals with matching "Teach Peace" cotton clutch from Maurie & Eve to run errands.
