Feeling all the ethereal & arcadian vibes in the morning mist, styled up in this gorgeous ensemble to attend a recent ballet performance based on the celebrated works of English children's author/illustrator Beatrix Potter. I'm wearing this utterly divine ivory floral embroidered ramie mini dress with satin lining & bobble straps (added by me) from Sheike, a pair of duck egg blue leather stiletto-heeled mules from a label called Alfie & Evie with matching vinyl crossbody bag replete with gold hardware from Vera May - both found at the delightful Obsession Shoes at the "top of town" in Ipswich - & finally, a stack of five handmade pastel coloured resin bangles with gold floral details that a dear friend picked up from a seller at Hive Marketplace & gave me as a thoughtful Christmas gift last year.

Finally sharing all the beautiful pictures of this "watercolour" look, worn to a special occasion in my beloved River City last summer. The stunning, pastel printed chiffon wrap dress with pink jersey slip from Australian designer Sacha Drake looks utterly divine when paired with purple vegan leather slingback heels from cult-label Gorman & a natural woven straw handbag with wooden beaded handle that I picked up at my local TK Maxx store for under $15 (maker unknown). When it came to jewellery, I wore some of my favourite pieces that thoughtful & loving friends & family have gifted me over the years - a stack of vintage Mexican silver bangles, a single vintage silver bangle from 20th Century Antiques & Collectibles, a brushed silver cuff from Wallace Bishop & finally, a silver & amber cocktail ring from the darling ladies at Precious Stones Jewellers for a little pop of colour.

As a stylist, there are plenty of trends that I see come & go but honestly, I find that now - more than ever - people are embracing their individuality through clothing & with the rise of secondhand & vintage shopping, wearing & rewearing items (even some trend pieces) despite the seasonal fads. One might even go as far as saying that rewearing pieces in your closet over & over again IS the new trend... Case in point: this gorgeous beige & black geometric print linen/silk midi dress with funnel neckline, front split & chunky gold belt from Australian label Aje that I've had in my closet for a few years now & have styled up a few different ways, including with beige/stone accessories. For a day in my hometown, checking out the art gallery & browsing around my favourite stores before enjoying a piping hot coffee, I've chosen black accessories in the form of a pair of black leather lace-up heels from Jo Mercer for the fusion of height & comfort, a black leather shoulder bag from funky boutique Pigeonhole to carry all the essentials & finally, a black resin hinged bangle with gold & onyx with matching gold & onyx teardrop ring both from Australian designer Samantha Wills to comple the look.

A few sweet snaps on a very humid day in South East Queensland wearing a gorgeous bohemian-print cotton top & matching indigo denim shorts from my local Target store, a pair of lipstick red vegan leather wedge heels from Kitten D'Amour for a modicum of height & pop of colour & finally, a red woven paper crossbody/handbag with vinyl strap from Sussan to carry all the essentials while traipsing around beneath the trees in a local park.
