Finally posting all of the pictures from a frenetic Saturday at this year's Royal Queensland Show. Despite a few scuds of rain breaking up the brilliant blue of the August sky, the weather was absolutely divine, with no signs of the pesky westerly winds that usually signify that it's EKKA time in Queensland & leave revelers carrying around tote bags full of jumpers they spend the day putting on & taking off in equal measure.
But I digress.
Scroll down for some snippets from the day, including a peek at my rather eclectic (some would say inspired; bohemian even) ensemble...

Posing in a haze of bubbles by the Merry-Go-Round, as you do...
I'm wearing a stunning pansy-printed neoprene fit-to-flare dress - my new go-to silhouette - with black jersey top, tulle underlay & grosgrain ribbon tie belt from Anthea Crawford, pattern-mixed with a vintage Indian cotton collarless jacket with mirrored vintage patches from Tree of Life, monochrome faux snakeskin heeled ankle boots from Witchery & anchored by a plain black vinyl tote bag from Basque at Myer. Jewellery was kept simple in deference to the rest of the ensemble - a circular moonstone ring on one finger & a thick silver "wrap" ring on another, both purchased from Thousand Island Dressing in Paddington.
