Finally sharing all the pictures of the outfit I styled up for a performance of cult classic, The Rocky Horror Picture Show at Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) which was, despite the surrounding furor & inclusion of Frankenfurter's understudy (a lesser known actor/singer) ABSOLUTELY AH-MAZING in every way! I loved the costumes, set, singing, dancing & the vibe; it was true to the original movie & I even managed to deal with the fact that it wasn't my beloved Tim Curry singing the hits I adore...
Clearly, dark colours were the go-to for this subversive, tiny bit titilating stage show if the subject matter is considered & this stunning black stretch lace sheath dress with china blue underlay, three-dimension embroidery detailing & textured grosgrain ribbon straps from Anthea Crawford was the idea choice, particularly when mixed with a pair of edge black laser-cut leather peep-toe heels from Wittner & boxy suede & leather handbag with oversized silver handles from French Connection for those "American Gothic" textural vibes. Jewellery choice also made a statement - a matching silver & onyx charm bracelet & ring from Pandora - while providing an element of shine.
