Jolly Holiday (part 2)

Another day, another brilliant photo roll of pictures from our recent two-night trip to the Gold Coast, starting with all the details of this delicious brunch at Griffith St Larder on the main street of Coolangatta, where I enjoyed the Mushroom, Spinach & Egg Breakfast Roll, washed down with a piping hot chai latte (my drink of choice if you haven't already realised that by now) & seriously considered coming back the next day for either the Smashed Avocado with Eggs on Toast or Smoked Salmon & Eggs on Toast that my dining companions - my mother & father - ordered for themselves! Honestly, everything just looked & tasted THAT good (could be something about that salty sea air creating the perfect atmosphere) & the service & cleanliness was utterly brilliant. Keep scrolling to see what else we did on our second day by the beach & remember to check in tomorrow for the final installment...

Finding pockets of shade under the palms in a beautiful white cotton tiered mini smock from Aussie designer label Aje, a white & yellow floral cotton tie-front top with matching floppy cotton sunhat from funky hipster label Ghanda Clothing to protect my skin from the sun, a pair of beige vegan leather & blue thread gladiator-style sandals from "hidden gem" Temptations Boutique at Winston Glades Shopping Centre, a tan vinyl crossbody bag with light wood clasp from Soul Nook in the "Old Church" at Marburg to carry all the essentials & some of my favourite vintage silver jewellery pieces - a thick bangle from (sadly closed) 20th Century Antiques & Collectibles that my brother gave me as a surprise & a stack of vintage silver bangles that some dear friends gave me last Christmas for that touch of daytime shine.

Historical Kirra Gazebo
(Note the crane in the background building a skyscraper & refurbishing the Kirra Pub... ahh, the price of progress, I guess...)

Making shapes with this voluminous silhouette...

Best feeling in the world!

Sunburnt but smiling on the patio...

Afternoon walks around Greenmount followed by a Macadamic Gelato from Gelatissimo, which always seems to taste best when eaten by the water...

Dress: Romance Was Born cotton
Sandals: Saltwater Sandals leather

Taking the path less travelled to the beach as the sun begins to set wearing avante garde Australian designer Romance Was Born's amazing Gold Coast photo-print cotton drawstring maxi dress with embroidered ribbon tie (added by me later to replace the heavy silver chain strap that kept swinging around & accidentally whacking me in the face... whoops, the price of fashion...) & a pair of my trusty silver leather Saltwater Sandals for a bit of a metallic moment. Scroll down to see more...

Finishing the day with a yummy Japanese dinner from OSushi Coolangatta...
This is the Vegetarian Spring Rolls with Sweet Chili Sauce & the Teriyaki Salmon with Rice & Salad... both highly recommended!
