Making the most of the cooler weather to get those extra "wears" out of my winter woolies! In this instance - arriving home from a recent trim & hair dye at Krop Hair with the talented Shabana, carrying a piping hot chai latte from Hello Garry in my hand - I'm wearing a gorgeous pink leopard print cotton puff sleeve mini shift dress with tie belt from Sheike, a pink/peach chunky acrylic knitted jumper from Target, a pair of black matte & patent leather ankle boots with buttons from Wittner (otherwise known as the "Anne of Green Gables" boots), 40 denier nylon tights from Razzamatazz & a black vinyl & woven satin handbag from Country Road to carry all the essentials.

Heels: Kitten D'Amour vegan leather

Well, I'm freshly "Kropped" & celebrating that fresh hair feeling (on a much warmer day than today!) with a beautiful pink & black checked seersucker polyblend midi dress with shirred bodice & oversized collar from British high street stalwart River Island via online emporium Asos, a black mesh cardigan with three-quarter-length sleeves from Yarra Trail that I found many, many years ago now at a tiny, unnamed little storefront at DFO Jindalee, a pair of black vegan leather dual buckle heels from Kitten D'Amour & a black vinyl & quilted satin crossbody bag from Country Road to carry all the essentials.

Reveling in that "fresh hair feeling" after my usual cut & colour with the delightful Shabana at Krop Hair. I'm all dressed up for the wintery weather in a stunning floral printed guipure lace midi dress from Anthea Crawford, vibrant pink mesh cardigan that I've tied up at the front to create a contour line from Trottie Becke, a funky upcycled sari jacket that I purchased from a little nameless pop up boutique in Montville many years ago, my all-time favourite matte & patent leather ankle boots with buttons from Wittner, a pair of black 40 denier nylon tights from Razzamatazz & a black leather shoulder bag from Pigeonhole to carry all the essentials including the obligatory mask & hand sanitizer.

The Bob

*

Dress: Sacha Drake broderie cotton, mesh
Ankle Boots: Wittner suede
Bag: H&M straw

*

My favourite colours are actually mint green & duck egg blue but oddly enough, if you took a look thorough my closet, the most predominant hue would be navy blue. I think it's because navy blue is softer & less "harsh" than black & can be worn with any colour & look fabulous... although I would caution shades of bright red or yellow because "primary colours" together is never a flattering look & never really was, regardless of what the 1980s would have you believe... But I digress. This gorgeous ensemble was a little something that I quickly styled up using items from the back of my closet for a trip to Krop hairdressers for a trim & a colour of the straight, fringed bob that has now become kind of like my trademark - the navy broderie cotton shift dress from Sacha Drake has a point of difference with the flesh tone mesh shoulder detailing to make it look almost strapless & pairs well with tan suede pointy-toed ankle boots from Wittner that I'm trying to wear as much as possible before it becomes too toasty for them in the summertime & the natural woven straw shoulder/crossbody bag from H&M that I picked up recently for under $25 & is the ideal size for carrying all the essentials that Covid 19 has now forced us to lug around including a mask, hand sanitizer & disposable gloves.

Loving that freshly cropped hair/coffee-fueled mornings in Norman Park wearing a gorgeous old-school floral printed polyblend dress with a slight v-neckline & tiny capped sleeves from Aussie label Anthea Crawford, a pair of white leather strappy heeled sandals from Wittner with matching vinyl crossbody handbag with silver hardware from Forever New & a pair of green jade beaded bracelets from the Shanghai Markets that my brother brought back from a trip a few years ago now...
