Shein Shein Shein

Dress: Shein embossed jacquard, chiffon
Heels: Forever New suede, stacked wood, buckles
Bag: Olli & Ella via The Iconic woven straw
Corsage: Kitten D'Amour silk

Keeping it simple yet sweet in the hot hot hot weather we've been experiencing with this stunning white floral embossed jacquard midi dress with blush pink chiffon tie straps from online emporium Shein, styled up with a pair of blush pink suede slingbacks with wooden stacked heels & buckled ankle straps from Forever New (worn the first time to my brother's wedding in 2019), a whimsical woven straw mushroom house handbag from Olli & Ella that I discovered at The Iconic (word to the wise: put a drawstring cotton bag inside to ensure nothing of importance falls out the little door) & finally, a pink silk corsage from Kitten D'Amour for added flair.

Pink Fairy Floss

Dress: Shein organza, lace
Heels: Wittner patent leather, matte leather, grosgrain ribbon
Bag: Sussan vinyl
Bracelet: Gift, handmade resin

Feeling very much like Molly Ringwald in "Pretty in Pink" in this floral organza mini puff dress with sweet cap sleeves & white lace trim from online emporium Shein which is, admittedly, a clear rip-off of an Insta-famous, very expensive (particularly with the exchange rate & postage from the USA) style but in all honesty, I own both the expensive & non-expensive versions & can't see a great deal of difference in quality or craftsmanship except perhaps a slightly more elevated finish on the branded option. As a fashion blogger & stylist I do try & purchase/own/wear the genuine article wherever & whenever possible but sometimes it's just not feasible from a monetary standpoint, particularly if the item is what could be considered a "trend" so I take care of these fast fashion purchases (hand washing, steaming) to make them last for as long as possible in my wardrobe.

But I digress. I've styled this gorgeous little number with a pair of white patent leather slingback heels with black matte pointy-toes & a pink & black striped strap from Wittner for a modicum of height, a black vinyl shoulder bag from Sussan to carry all the essentials including the omnipresent facemask & hand sanitizer & a funky, handmade resin cameo bracelet from Greece (pictured in detail above) that a dear friend gave me for my birthday a few years ago, apparently found at a little online boutique on Etsy. It truly is the perfect finishing touch to the entire whimsical ensemble!

Feeling Festive (part 2)

*

Dress: Review jacquard
Heels: Jo Mercer leather, laces
Bag: Pigeonhole leather
Belt: Kitten D'Amour lace, velvet ribbon
Bangle: Megan Hess resin, gold
Ring: Thousand Island Dressing gold, glitter

Sharing more snippets from recent festive celebrations, starting with this stunning look, worn to a Christmas event in the River City but with pictures taken outside the Jindalee DFO, which has actually been renovated to quite a high standard & where it was a pleasure to both shop & dine, with a plethora of food options outside to suit any taste. But I digress. I'm posing with the Fat Man in a Red Suit wearing a gorgeous navy textured jacquard drop-waist midi dress from "girly" Australian label Review, cinched in at the waist with a so-Frenchy-so-chic black lace corset belt with velvet ribbon & back clips from vintage-inspired boutique Kitten D'Amour, a pair of black leather lace-up heels from Jo Mercer for a modicum of height & a black leather shoulder bag from the always hip & funky Pigeonhole to carry all the essentials including the ever-present facemask & hand sanitizer. When it came to jewellery, I kept it simple with a gold bangle with navy & black fashion illustration in resin from Megan Hess & a gold & glitter cocktail ring from Thousand Island Dressing to complete the look.

Scroll down to see the gorgeous automated Christmas window display inside the centre that brought so much joy to so many shoppers passing by...
