Finally sharing all of the gorgeous pictures of a reunion two years in the making, when one of my dearest friends & her family came home to Queensland for a Christmas visit! We spent the day pretty much like old times (albeit with a new little member of the group joining us) chatting & browsing around a local shopping centre, Orion Springfield Central, before heading to Hogs Breath Cafe for lunch.

For the occasion (a hot & humid day in the Sunshine State, of course) I wore the bright & breezy pink and orange Saffron Skies linen midi dress from Aussie label Gorman that I styled up with a pair of black leather lace-up heeled sandals from Jo Mercer, a black woven straw shoulder bag from H&M to carry all the essentials including my usual hand sanitizer, rubber gloves & face mask thanks to Covid 19, a silver cuff from Wallace Bishop & long, vintage beaded necklace with carved wooden African animals, found at a darling online shop called Beautiful Pangea, that a dear friend gifted me during the year.

Blooming Lovely

On an utterly miserable day in South East Queensland due to the so-called "weather event" brought on by Tropical Cyclone Owen, it would seem only fitting to look back on recent events - such as this overcast Saturday morning spent exploring the Mt Coot tha Botanical Gardens with a dear friend & her inquisitive munchkin - when it was permissible to spend large portions of the day outside without getting soaking wet.

For the occasion, I wore a funky 1960s style "flower power" printed linen jumpsuit with tie belt from Princess Highway in vibrant shades of pink, yellow & green on a navy background that even a duck in the pond thought was so appetising that it was something he could eat (!) mixed with a pair of comfortable tan leather gladiator sandals from Wittner & matching circular cane crossbody bag with tan leather strap from the darling Renee Loves Frances store at Bulimba. Jewellery was kept minimal owing to the location - a handmade chunky yellow & clear resin bangle & ring from Zsiszka that I found at one of my all-time favourite stores, Sea Wish Coolangatta while on holidays a few years ago.
