This time, 3 weeks ago, I was getting ready to share a delicious Oishii Sushi Bar dinner with my family & a friend who had never experienced what I have deemed "the deliciousness" of their cooked, seaweed-wrap-free fare... Needless to say, she was converted in only 1 meal... & who wouldn't be, when the deep fried ice-cream dessert ALONE looks like this:

Taking advantage of the freezing cold weather (for once!) I decided to become a "study in scarlet" (thank you Sherlock Holmes...) busting out this red & black poppy-print textured jacquard Anthea Crawford dress with three-quarter sleeves & stunning portrait neckline, left clear for a hint of decolletage, as depicted:

As per usual, the look was "anchored" by a pair of black leather, wedge-heeled, knee-high boots from City Chic, black 40 denier Razzamatazz tights & a round, patent Vera May handbag with painted sides depicting the front gate of a house with a fluffy white cat sitting in front, matching the collarless, black leather-look vinyl jacket (with mesh back-panel) also from City Chic. You can check out the look in its entirety below:

When it came to accessories, wool was the way to go - a gorgeous cashmere pashmina that I picked up from a London School of Design market stall on Oxford Street during our 2012 European adventure & an Art Deco style woolen cloche with oversized flower on the brim from Morgan & Taylor at Myer

Jewellery was minimal yet effective - a pair of black faceted onyx bead bracelets from Thomas Sabo with a myriad of charms from a variety of places & people, including miniature dresses, a stiletto heel, faith/hope/charity charms & a tiny elephant all the way from India!
