Finally posting all of the pictures from an amazing morning spent exploring at the Queensland Museum's Discovery Day for Little Learners with my cousin & her two rambunctious munchkins! We did it all - listened to the whale songs in the Whale Mall on our way inside; checked out the fossils & the paleontology gear; coloured in & created our own scary dinosaur masks; sang & stomped (!) along with Jurassic Jayne & her prehistoric puppets; marveled at the HUGE tyrannosaurus rex & triceratops in Playsaurus Place; scoffed down some very chocolately muffins in the Collector's Cafe; conducted some science experiments in the Perception Deception room & pretended to be swimming in the deep ocean to find Lost Creatures like the giant squid... & all that before heading into Southbank Parklands for lunch at Grill'd & a quick splash in the Lagoon! Phew, no wonder we were tired in the car on the way home...

For the occasion, I decided to go "full summer" in hues that I would have once considered to be my nemesis, yet are now an integral part of my wardrobe - whites & pastels. This lovely peach cotton dress with its straight, sheath shape & white guipure lace bodice overlay from Laura Ashley was the smart casual ideal, particularly when mixed with a pair of white leather "cage" sandals with chunky heels from Wittner, white vinyl crossbody bag with silver hardware from Forever New to carry all the necessities, silver hinged bangle from Wallace Bishop for a bit of daytime shine & a carved maple wood watch (generously gifted to me by a dear friend) for those cruisy, natural, bohemian vibes I love so much in the summertime.

Scroll down to see how it all unfolded...
