All dressed up for an event in my beloved River City wearing a stunning blue & white floral textured spandex/elastane ruched midi dress with fluted sleeves & cut-out neckline from Aussie designer Sacha Drake. It's really one of those "never say never" fashion moments when it came to this dress because ordinarily I would never wear something so slinky, made from a stretchy fabric with no lining underneath because I'd feel super duper self-conscious but there's just something about the placement of the ruching & the length of the hemline - or even the fact that life has changed so much during the pandemic & the things that used to matter really just don't anymore - but I threw caution to the wind, pulled the dress down over my head & went for it... AND loved every second! I've styled it up with a pair of beige/sand leather lace-up heels from Jo Mercer for a modicum of height, a beige woven & vinyl shoulder bag from Sussan to carry all the essentials & some of my all-time favourite jewellery pieces - a stunning silver "wave" hinged bangle that gives me all kinds of art deco vibes from Precious Stones Jewellers in the Myer Centre & a thin silver hinged bangle from Oxfam Shop that I've had for twenty years this year; in fact, I wore it to my formal & I still love it just as much as the day I bought it from the sadly-now-defunct Indooroopilly store.
