Avid readers of this blog will already know how much I adore Gothic literature from the Victorian age... so the fact that a re-imagined, interactive version of Mary Shelley's epic masterpiece, "Frankenstein" has made it to the stage in Brisbane was an absolute must see! For the occasion, I leaned into the melancholic vibes with an organza puff mini dress covered in pictures of specimen jars containing insects & skulls from a label called Black Friday that's sold exclusively in Dangerfield stores, a cropped black leather jacket with Victorian asymmetrical collar & buttons from Just Jeans that I've literally had for more than 15 years & that only gets better with time, a pair of black matte leather pointy-toed booties from Wittner for a modicum of height & a natural woven straw handbag with black leather clasp & black resin beaded handle from vintage-inspired label Kitten D'Amour to carry all the essentials while adding a subtle lighter element. When it came to jewellery, I chose some favourite pieces - a single vintage silver bangle from 20th Century Antiques & Collectibles that my brother bought me for my birthday & a stack of vintage Mexican silver bangles gifted by some friends who now reside overseas - to complete the look.
