Finally sharing all the pictures of the beautiful ensemble that I wore to a very special event in my beloved River City a few weeks ago. While I can't provide much information about the occasion, I can share the stunning dressed-up-but-not-quite-black-tie outfit that I styled up, starting with the utterly divine navy guipure lace midi-length wiggle dress with voluminous chiffon sleeves & soft satin lining from Australian designer label Anthea Crawford. To this, I added a pair of navy & grey ombre patent leather pointy-toed stiletto heels from Carvela by Kurt Geiger for a modicum of height, a navy vinyl & tweed handbag with gold hardware from Adorne that I picked up at the delightful Oh Jo Jo Boutique at the "top of town" in Ipswich to carry all the essentials while remaining streamlined (it was, quite literally, the TARDIS of handbags & I managed to shove so much stuff in there without it appearing bulky), an amazing burgundy, gold & navy paisley print woven silk & wool wrap with faux fur pom poms that I found at one of my favourite vintage market stalls (the lady who runs the stall doesn't have social media but has the best & most lovingly curated collection of vintage linens that I have ever seen, in immaculate condition, perfectly laundered & safely packaged... she's a vintage-lover's dream come true) to ward off the chill in the air while adding a touch of pattern & texture & finally, an oversized gold & diamante bow-shaped ring from the V&A Museum's Gift Shop for that touch of tasteful sparkle to go with the shine from the shoes.
