In the summertime, it's hard to resist the lure of gingham, particularly red gingham, which will always be synonymous with warm weather picnics in the grass under the shade of a tree & (hopefully) by a meandering stream & this gorgeous tiered midi dress with dainty white organza tie straps from British label Dream Sister Jane certainly gives me all the nostalgic feels. I've styled it up for a morning running errands with a pair of chocolate brown vegan leather deco-style t-bar heels with buttons & bows from "girly" label Kitten D'Amour for a modicum of height, a red leather crossbody bag from Louenhide that I found secondhand on online emporium Etsy to carry all the essentials while keeping my hands free (to hold my coffe, in this case), a chunky 1970s brass bangle from the USA that I picked up many, many years ago now from The Way We Wore vintage fair on one wrist & a thinner, brushed brass bangle from my local Tree of Life store on the other to complete the look.
