All dressed up & in one of my favourite places - Paddington - for an event followed by a spot of vintage browsing, boutique shopping & a cheeky corn fritter stack for a nosh on a rather cold morning in the River City. I'm styled up in a stunning cream textured jacquard puff-sleeve flared mini dress with satin lining & rope belt from Sheike, beige microfibre camisole from David Jones underneath for modesty purposes, a pair of black matte leather heeled booties from Wittner for a modicum of height, 40 denier nylon tights from Razzamatazz to keep me feeling toasty & a natural woven straw handbag with black leather clasp from Witchery to carry most of the essentials... patchwork tote bag from Luna Lovewitch (brought along to carry potential purchases) photographed later. When it came to jewellery, I chose some favourite silver pieces - a stack of vintage Mexican bangles that dear friends brought back from overseas & a hinged art deco wave bangle from Precious Stones Jewellers in Uptown (formerly the Myer Centre) that my parents gave me as a birthday gift a few years ago.

Making the best of this in-between weather (hot/cold/hot/cold... ad nauseum) by adding a sweet little woven cotton vest from Yak & Yeti over my gorgeous navy & red checked seersucker cotton midi-length smock dress from Silver Leaf via Her Wardrobe boutique, as well as my black matte & patent leather heeled loafers with tassels by Pitillos that I picked up at Obsession Shoes at the "top of town" in Ipswich, a vintage leather camera bag that I've turned into a handbag from Shop 76 at the Ipswich Antique Centre, a chunky red beaded necklace with silver star pendant from Ghanda & my usual silver jewellery pieces to complete the look.

Finally sharing all the gorgeous pictures from a gorgeous morning in Laidley with my parents, browsing around this sweet regional town checking out a plethora of boutiques, retail stores, bakeries & gift shops - as well as historical icons like Das Neumannhaus - before heading to the delightful Grace Eats Cafe for a leisurely lunch together. For the occasion, I wore a gorgeous pastel embroidered denim pinafore & a matching white embroidered linen puff-sleeve shirt from cult label Gorman, a pair of camel suede pointy-toed mules from Wittner for a modicum of height, a blush vinyl crossbody bag with wooden clasp from Oh Jo Jo Boutique at the "top of town" in Ipswich to carry all the essentials & some of my all-time favourite silver pieces - a stack of vintage Mexican silver bangles & a single vintage silver bangle from 20th Century Antiques & Collectibles to complete the look.

As another vintage fair rolls around (namely "Collectorville" this Sunday morning) I'm reminiscing about the ensemble that I styled up last time, ideal for browsing around all of the market stalls in search of antique, retro & kitsch treasures. This double denim look is centred around this funky faded blue denim mini dress with shirred bodice & three quarter length ruffled sleeves from Birdhouse Laidley, worn with an indigo denim coccoon jacket from designer label Bianca Spender, a pair of black patent & matte leather heeled loafers with tassels from a label called Pitillos that I found at my delightful Obsession Shoes, black 40 denier nylon tights from Razzamatazz to keep my legs feeling toasty warm & a vintage brown & black tooled leather handbag covered in Texas/Mexican motifs from Shop 76 at Ipswich Antiques Centres to carry all the essentials. When it came to jewellery, I wore some favourite silver pieces - a stack of vintage Mexican bangles that some dear friends brought back from overseas on one wrist & a single vintage silver bangle from 20th Century Antiques & Collectibles (formerly of Coolangatta, now Tweed Heads) on the other for that touch of daytime shine.
