Following on from my last post - a trip down memory lane to a gala in 2017 - are more pictures from that time; these delightful snapshots chronicling the outfit that I wore to attend the gala after party on the same night! I'm swanning about in a stunning black mesh & silver floral sequinned fit-to-flare midi dress with black satin lining from Anthea Crawford, cinched in with a black grosgrain ribbon & beaded belt from retro-inspired Australian label Review, a pair of black suede & patent leather pointy-toed lace-up stiletto heels from Wittner (wonderful to look at but an absolute nightmare to walk in, if I'm being honest), a boxy black suede & vinyl handbag with oversized silver handles from French Connection to carry all the essentials, a matching silver & onyx charm bangle & ring from Pandora & finally, a vintage wool hat with suede "tail" that was gifted to me by some dear friends for this very occasion & really was the icing on the cake!

With the Spring Racing Carnival & the "Race That Stops A Nation" only a few days away, I'm so elated to share some pictures that I found in the archives & for some reason, never posted of a gala that I had the pleasure of attending in 2017... long before anything like the pandemic was a blip on our radar... Talk about some outfit inspo! For the occasion, I wore an utterly divine cream, soft pink & green floral jacquard cold-shoulder dress with flared skirt & high-low hemline from Anthea Crawford, styled up with a pair of soft pink perforated leather heels with self-tie ankle straps from Wittner, a soft pink patent leather clutch from Olga Berg to carry a few essentials (perhaps a lipstick & a comb), an ornate silver cuff that was gifted to me by some dear friends for that touch of daytime shine, a pair of silver eucalyptus leaf brooches that were made from the imprints of actual leaves on a tree in South East Queensland & were purchased from a nameless little shop in Maleny & finally, a gorgeous faux flower, leaf & gumnut headpiece from La Plume de Fleur via Etsy to complete the look.
