Tis the Season

It's happening! Christmastime is near...
Checking out all the amazing Christmas decorations, wrapping paper, ribbon & presents in store at my local Fair Dinkum Bargains. Every year it has an absolutely amazing display that has taken a significant amount of hard work to assemble & this year certainly didn't disappoint! In these sweet pictures, I'm wearing a particularly casual ensemble - a pair of khaki cotton shorts from Big W, a navy & white floral cotton ruffled prairie top & natural woven straw crossbody bag from Target & a pair of beige leather toe-post sandals from Frankie 4 on my feet.

Tinsel Town

Bag: Renee Loves Frances painted cane, leather

Happily taking a trip to "Tinsel Town" for some more Christmas goodies in this sweet little matching set from my local Big W department store. The gorgeous tropical floral linen camisole top & three-quarter-length pants with paper bag waist & self-tie belt were a cool & comfortable choice, particularly when mixed with a pair of white & tan leather art-deco-inspired sandals from Easy Step via Myer & a white painted cane circular crossbody bag with tan leather strap from Renee Loves Frances to carry all the essentials while keeping my hands free to rummage.

Finally sharing all these sweet pictures, taken on one of the hottest days of the year (so far) at one of my favourite places to shop for Christmas wrapping paper, cards, ribbon & funny little decorations - my local Fair Dinkum Bargains store! This particular store has an absolutely amazing festive display year after year & despite the fact that the air conditioning wasn't working (no fault of their own; the repair man was on site & working hard to get it up & running again) it was such a pleasure to check out all their hard work... & go home with even more goodies. I'm wearing a (thankfully) cool & breezy navy, blue & white printed cotton/rayon smock dress with thin, adjustable straps by Sundrenched Australia that I picked up from the delightful Kaysuelle Fashions boutique on the small town of Rosewood's main street, a pair of black leather & elastic sandals from Wittner for the ideal fusion of comfort & style, a black straw crossbody bag from Target to carry all the essentials & some of my beloved silver jewellery pieces - an antique bangle from 20th Century Antiques & Collectibles & a stack of vintage Mexican silver bangles from some dear friends who now reside overseas to complete the look.

Gates to Wonderland

Dress: Bohemian Traders cotton poplin
Sandals: Wittner leather, elastic
Bag: Sussan vinyl

Getting into the "Christmas Spirit" wherever I go... a state of mind made much, much easier when the decorations in store are THIS GOOD! Believe it or not, this is my local Fair Dinkum Bargains store & they do an utterly amazing job year after year of creating displays for special events such as St Patricks Day, Easter, Halloween & of course, Christmas. I'm posing underneath the awesome wrought-iron Wonderland Gate (it's for sale, people!) in a gorgeous blue & white striped cotton poplin shirtdress with self-tie belt from Bohemian Traders, a pair of black leather & elastic sandals from Wittner & a black vinyl shoulder bag from Sussan to carry all the essentials. A simple, three-piece springtime ensemble that took mere moments to put together but looks great.
