Another day, another trip to the small town of Rosewood with its mouth-watering bakery, sweet boutiques & pretty historical parks. This time, I'm tapping into the cottagecore trend & sitting pretty on one of the Penny Farthing bicycle statues in the Cobb & Co Heritage Park - in the bright winter sunshine - wearing a gorgeous red floral crepe prairie midi dress with embroidered, elasticated neckline & cuffs from Australian designer label Morrison, styled up with a green knitted cardigan from my local Target store, a pair of black matte & patent leather ankle boots with buttons (known colloquially as the "Anne of Green Gables" boots around the house) from Wittner, black 40 denier nylon tights from Razzamatazz to keep my legs warm, a black vinyl shoulder bag from Sussan to carry all the essentials & finally, a handmade black leather necklace with wooden pendant from a label called Sonia, gifted to me by a dear friend.

Heading out to a styling event in my beloved River City re-wearing some of my favourite wintertime fashion pieces - a beautiful, poppy print viscose midi dress with three-quarter-length sleeves, ruffled cuffs, embroidered yoke detailing & stretch belt from Aussie designer label Morrison, a vibrant red knitted cardigan with draped neckline & fringing from a label called Lilia via Temptations Boutique in Winston Glades, black matte leather heeled ankle boots from Wittner to a modicum of height, a pair of black 40 denier nylon tights from Razzamatazz to keep my legs feeling toasty warm & a black vinyl & woven, quilted satin shoulder bag from County Road to carry all the essentials. When it came to jewellery, I kept it simple with a selection of tiny, perfectly formed silver rings with hearts, pineapples, peace signs & flowers from the delightful Thousand Island Dressing boutique in Paddington.

So elated to be sharing all the pictures from a morning spent browsing & brunching in my beloved River City with my parents a few weeks ago, starting with some snaps in the awesome Cloud 9 pop-up photography studio in The Myer Centre (an Instagrammers dream, quite frankly) followed by a spot of shopping & some all-day breakfast goodness at one of our favourite haunts, Stanton Cafe & Bar at Queens Plaza. For the occasion, I wore a gorgeous poppy print viscose midi-length prairie dress with smocked neckline & cuffs & matching stretch belt from Aussie designer label Morrison, a Victorian-style cropped black leather jacket with asymmetrical collar & buttons from Just Jeans (more than 15 years old & getting better & better - smoother & more supple - every single year), a pair of black matte leather ankle boots from Wittner for a modicum of height, 40 denier nylon tights from Razzamatazz (my go-to brand) to keep my legs feeling toasty-warm & a black nylon 1990s-inspired vinyl handbag from Sussan to carry all the essentials such as the ubiquitous mask & hand sanitizer. When it came to jewellery, I kept it simple & incredibly minimal, choosing only a vintage pewter man-in-the-crescent-moon brooch that I picked up years ago at (sadly now closed... perhaps permanently) Railway Antiques in Toowoomba.
