All the pictures from a morning spent enjoying the sunshine in one of my all-time favourite places to visit, the tiny township of Rosewood. It's really got everything I love in one beautiful package - gorgeous, bushland-but-close-to-the-city surroundings, horses & cattle in the paddocks, historical parks, a couple of funky boutiques, some op-shops, cafes & a bakery that serves some delicious sweet treats at old-fashioned prices. For the occasion, I wore a gorgeous black & blue floral silk, three-quarter-sleeved wrap dress with black jersey slip from Australian designer Sacha Drake paired with a grey & black speckled woven acrylic cardigan from the Danni Minogue Petites collection at my local Target store, a pair of black suede pointy-toed mules from Wittner that are so comfortable they are beginning to surpass sneakers as my go-to off-duty shoe choice & my trusty black vinyl 90s-style shoulder bag from Sussan to carry all the essentials. When it came to jewellery, I chose some of my most beloved pieces to "amp up" the everyday - a stack of vintage Mexican silver bangles that some dear friends sent, a single vintage silver bangle from 20th Century Antiques & Collectibles that my younger brother gave me as a birthday present a few years ago & an oversized turquoise & silver cocktail ring from Thousand Island Dressing at Paddington (that I'm pretty sure I've had for at least fifteen years) to add a bohemian finishing touch to the look.

Historical Rosewood

*

Dress: Alemais cotton drill
Mules: Wittner leather
Bag: Elk via Mott & Mulberry leather
Bangles: Gift, handpainted wood

Sharing all the moments from a sunny morning spent in historical Rosewood, checking out all my favourite local parks & boutiques & enjoying some piping hot coffee from Harry's Cafe & a sugared donut from bakery. For the occasion, I wore the amazing Samaki Puff Sleeve Midi Dress from designer Alemais' recent collaboration with artist Alan Berry Rhys made from sturdy cotton drill & covered in retro-inspired, beach-holiday-themed, cartoon tourist pictures with a self-tie belt with gold toggle ends. When it came to styling, I chose a pair of easy, casual tan leather pointy-toed mules from Wittner with a matching tan leather crossbody bag by Elk that I picked up years ago from the Mott & Mulberry boutique at Indooroopilly to carry all the essentials & finally, a pair of vintage, hand-painted, wooden, rainbow striped bangles that some dear friends gave me to complete the look & pick up on the beachy bohemian theme.

Rosewood Under Sunny Skies

Keeping it simple & sweet for a morning spent enjoying one of my favourite places - the small, historical town of Rosewood with its multiple parks & beautiful main street full of boutiques, pubs, cafes & other buildings both old & new, including a state-of-the-art library. For the occasion (which may have included a piping hot coffee from a cafe & sugar-dusted twist donut from the bakery) I donned a beautiful blue & cream floral cotton button-down midi dress with elasticated waist & tie belt from Forever New, a pair of stone leather lace-up heels from Australian label Jo Mercer & a funky pouch bag from my local TK Maxx store to carry all the essentials including my face mask & hand sanitizer.
