Taking a break at cool & shady Trammie's Corner in Paddington before getting back to what I love to do best: antiquing! For the occasion, I'm wearing a stunning tulip printed twill wiggle dress with off-shoulder black grosgrain ribbon detailing from Jayson Brunsdon Black Label via my local Myer store that has to be at least ten years old now & is still one of my most beloved dresses. I've styled it up with a pair of stylish yet comfortable black leather lace-up heels from Jo Mercer for a modicum of height, a natural woven straw handbag with black resin beaded handle from vintage-inspired label Kitten D'Amour, a brushed silver cuff from Wallace Bishop that a friend gave me for my 30th birthday & a stack of vintage Mexican silver bangles that were a gift from some other dear friends to complete the look.

St Nicholas Precinct

Carrying on the tradition started this time last year with a trip to the St Nicholas Precinct Christmas Lights with my cousin & her two rambunctious munchkins. This year, the weather was a bit cooler in Ipswich City with a breeze blowing from the Bremer River keeping things pleasant & although it did get quite crowded as the night wore on, people were incredibly polite & conscientious in all areas - especially around the food vans & plethora of cafes & ice cream parlours - to hopefully help keep case numbers down after recent Covid spikes in the Sunshine State. Many, such as myself, continued to wear facemasks as an added precaution, particularly when inside the many boutiques lining the street, the children's library & the lifts to the carpark. It certainly was a lovely night had by all.

Hey, you're only young once & it's Christmas time!

As avid readers of this blog will already know, I love sticking to a theme when dressing for an occasion & this was no exception! In deference to a Christmas theme, I donned a stunning red linen tiered midi dress with blouson bodice from Basque at Myer, a pair of brown vegan leather strappy sandals from I Love Billy via Williams Shoes for the ideal fusion of comfort & style, a deep green woven paper crossbody bag with brown leather strap from Esteems Boutique in Coolangatta, a festive Disney brooch in the shape of Mickey Mouse ears from my local Target store & finally, a pair of handblown glass & bead bracelets with festive charms to complete the look.

Hitting up the majority of the food vans for dinner - hot chips with chicken salt washed down with mixed berry iced tea & finished off with strawberry gluten free donuts for dessert!
