Scarf: Temptations Boutique chiffon
Ring: Precious Stones Jewellers silver, amber

You know how sometimes a dress comes along in a print that just makes you feel happy? Well, the gorgeous Suncatcher Flare Dress from cult label Gorman is just that dress! The stunning floral pattern coupled with the sumptous silky viscose/lenzing fabric & amazing midi-length bias cut is literally what sartorial dreams are made of & I've styled it up here for a morning in Paddington with a pair of black vegan leather dual buckle heels from Kitten D'Amour for a modicum of height while remaining comfortable, a black leather & natural woven straw handbag from Witchery to carry all the essentials while adding a bohemian/luxe touch, a jaunty little red chiffon scarf that I picked up at a sweet local boutique called Temptations & finally, my beautiful new silver & amber ring from the lovely ladies at Precious Stones Jewellers in Uptown to complete the look.

Finally sharing all the gorgeous pictures from a shopping expedition in along La Trobe/Given Terraces in Paddington on a sunny winter's day in my beloved River City! I'm posing for a few quick snaps at Trammie's Corner - a quaint little pocket park that was once frequented by Brisbane's tram drivers for smoko as it was close to the depot that was subsequently gutted by fire in 1962 - wearing the funky floral print "Galleria Long Dress" in sumptuous cotton sateen from Australian cult designer favourite Gorman, styled up with a navy coated cotton anorak from Uniqlo that I picked up from Vinnies Rosewood for under $10, a pair of comfortable yet stylish tan suede pointy-toed mules from Wittner & an upcycled denim (once a pair of blue jeans destined for landfill), rose gold & beaded handbag from textile artist Kathy Baburin to carry all the essentials. When it came to jewellery, I kept it simple with a thin rose gold & diamante bangle & matching pinkie ring from Mimco that some dear friends gave me for Christmas last year to complete the look.

Dress: Jayson Brunsdon Black Label via Myer twill, grosgrain ribbon
Heels: Jo Mercer leather, laces
Bag: Kitten D'Amour woven straw, resin
Cuff: Gift, Wallace Bishop silver
Bangle Stack: Gift, vintage Mexican silver

Taking a break at cool & shady Trammie's Corner in Paddington before getting back to what I love to do best: antiquing! For the occasion, I'm wearing a stunning tulip printed twill wiggle dress with off-shoulder black grosgrain ribbon detailing from Jayson Brunsdon Black Label via my local Myer store that has to be at least ten years old now & is still one of my most beloved dresses. I've styled it up with a pair of stylish yet comfortable black leather lace-up heels from Jo Mercer for a modicum of height, a natural woven straw handbag with black resin beaded handle from vintage-inspired label Kitten D'Amour, a brushed silver cuff from Wallace Bishop that a friend gave me for my 30th birthday & a stack of vintage Mexican silver bangles that were a gift from some other dear friends to complete the look.

Peachy in Paddington

Sandals: Florsheim leather, gold, silver

Feeling "peachy keen" in this gorgeous, girly ensemble, worn to a recent styling event in the River City & photographed at Trammie's Corner in the leafy suburb of Paddington. I'm twirling around in a divine peach taffeta baby-doll dress with high/low hemline & silver flower embellishment from English label Sister Jane, silver metallic leather sandals with oversized gold buckles & wood striped stacked mid-heels from Florsheim, boxy hard-case silver mirrored vinyl & white leather handbag with silver hardware & natural twine tassel from Country Road, a trio of beaded gold & silver bangles that a dear friend gifted me a few years ago after a trip to India & finally, a vintage silver & mirrored mosaic bangle from Empire Revival for that final touch of daytime sparkle.
