Posing after yet another event in the city wearing a gorgeous blush & burgundy floral jacquard dress with cold-shoulder detailing & waterfall hemline from Anthea Crawford, baby pink feathered vest from "girly" Australian label Alannah Hill for that little something extra, blush leather pointy-toed lace up heels from Wittner (comfortable & stylish) & a matching blush vinyl crossbody bag with silver hardware from Forever New to carry all of the essentials without overtaking/overpowering the entire look. When it came to jewellery, I decided to layer up with a mix of modern & classic: a funky burgundy & clear resin bangle from the celebrated Dinosaur Designs as well as a chunky silver hinged bangle from Wallace Bishop & pair of silver rings with garnet stones from my local Tree of Life store for the bohemian touch I love to inject into all my ensembles, giving them a slightly more youthful & relaxed vibe.

One of my all-time favourite places to wile away a weekend morning is at French-Patisserie-style cafe franchise Passiontree Velvet, sharing a delicious meal with family & friends. This time, however, my mother & I decided to truly treat ourselves, enjoying a "Devonshire Tea" experience (not dissimilar to a High Tea) for something a little bit different... before hitting the shops for some retail therapy, of course...

For the occasion, I decided to wear the gorgeous monochrome embroidered floral silk/satin retro-style shift with "swishy" godet hemline from Mossman that I last wore on Good Friday with a light black mesh three-quarter-sleeved cardigan from a (now defunct) label called Leaf, tied at the front in a large bow to give a modicum of shape at the waistline, a pair of comfortable yet stylish black suede mules with a small heel from Wittner (ideal for the cooler weather we've been having) & shiny silver handbag from Forever New. When I came to jewellery, I decided to stay with shades of silver & black, wearing a chunky vintage wooden bangle with heavy embellishment that a dear friend brought back from India & a matching silver & onyx charm bracelet & ring from Pandora

Scroll down for a peek at how the morning unfolded...

* Couldn't resist taking a "mirror selfie" in one of Kitten D'Amour's AMAZING retro-inspired changing rooms! Love everything about that store from the impeccable designs to the exemplary customer service! *

Bangle: Gift, gold & enamel

Happily sharing pictures of what I wore to a delightful brunch at one of my all-time favourite haunts - Passiontree Velvet at the newly refurbished Indooroopilly Shoppingtown - to celebrate my parents' 36th wedding anniversary! I'm posing against the panoramic windows in a gorgeous "firework" floral twill fit-to-flare midi dress from Anthea Crawford, pattern-mixed small-scale floral printed vinyl handbag with gold hardware from Nine West, funky black leather lace-up flat sandals with feather (!) detailing from Novo (a Boxing Day Sales bargain at $10) & a delicate gold & enamel flower bangle that I was once gifted by a loved one returning from China.

Scroll down for a peek at the brunch...

On my way to more adventures... changing into a different pair of kicks in the car...
These absolutely amazing hand-painted babies are from a company called Carpe d'Art, where fine artists are commissioned to create works on high-top sneakers. Each one is unique, individual & signed by the artist, making them one-of-a-kind & really something special...

All I Want For Christmas

Finally sharing all the lovely pictures taken at the newly refurbished & ever-changing Indooroopilly Shoppingtown this Festive Season... including outfit shots inside the stunning twinkling baubles dotted throughout the centre. Let's just say it's pretty much a Blogger or Instagrammer's version of paradise... I certainly had a "ball" posing inside them! Anyway, scroll down to check out all the fun... & remember, there's still time if you want to visit the centre yourself to see it all with your very own eyes...

Bag: Forever New vinyl with gold hardware
Scarf: Gift, lace
Bangle: Gift, jade (from Shanghai Markets)

All dressed up for a day of Christmas shopping out of the Summer heat in a darling chrysanthemum-printed shantung silk fit-to-flare dress with sweetheart neckline & tulle underlay from Anthea Crawford, shiny metallic gold pointy-toed flats from Wittner (the ideal blend of functional & stylist; no blisters ALL DAY LONG... thank goodness!) & a soft gold vinyl handbag with yellow gold hardware from Forever New to carry all the essentials... including the all important present list! When it came to accessories, I really got into the spirit of the season & went for something a little bit special: a beautiful lace summer weight scarf that was gifted to my mother by a dear friend (& borrowed by me), jade bangle from the Shanghai Markets & Wanfu jade beaded bracelet, both brought back from China by my thoughtful younger brother.

Posing with my long-suffering photographer/mother Joanne... thanks to the kindness of a fellow shopper who offered to take a "happy snap" for us!

Brunch at one of our all-time favourites, Passiontree Velvet with my father, Rayne...
As usual, I'm indulging in the delicious Smashed Avo on Sourdough.

Couldn't resist some more pictures inside the "red" bauble!

Weary shoppers beside the MASSIVE Christmas Tree on the bottom floor...

Doing some last minute Christmas shopping of his own? Ho Ho Ho...

Making a beeline for the red bauble this time (you know, before I finish off the Christmas shopping that I didn't get done the other day...) in a lovely oversized floral jacquard fit-to-flare dress from Anthea Crawford, metallic gold leather gladiator flats with a myriad of shiny gold buckles from Wittner, textured gold vinyl shoulder bag from Nine West (more decorative than functional but never mind...) & some sweet Disney Couture bangles - one depicting Cinderella's castle & carriage & another in pink resin with gold Cheshire Cat charms from "Alice in Wonderland."
