Mixing my fashion trends with this little ensemble on what was the last warm day in South East Queensland before this cold weather set in. I'm wearing a beautiful ivory cotton/taffeta midi-length prairie dress from Australian designer Morrison with a pair of green & blue plaid & black vegan leather heels & matching handbag with gold hardware from vintage-inspired label Kitten D'Amour & a chunky black resin hinged bangle with gold from Samantha Wills to complete the look.

Celtic Mist

Dress: Taking Shape lurex
Cape: Taking Shape velvet, silk, embellishment
Booties: Forever New suede, stacked heel
Bag: Olga Berg via David Jones vinyl with silver hardware
Bangles: Abbey Medieval Faire handmade silver
Cuff: Najo via Precious Stones Jewellers silver

All dressed up & ready to hear the sublime music of my Celtic ancestors in a stunning pleated ombre lurex midi dress from Taking Shape (seriously loving the fact that they now encompass "top heavy" size 12 ladies who just want a v-neck cross-over bodice to sit properly) with a heavily embellished velvet & silk cape trimmed in beads from the same, blush suede booties with wooden stacked heels from Forever New, blush vinyl hardcase handbag with single strap & silver hardware from Olga Berg that I discovered at my local David Jones store (a combination last worn here, on my younger brother's wedding day) & a trio of bohemian-inspired silver jewellery pieces - a single tribal cuff from Najo via Precious Stones Jewellers & a pair of handmade Viking-style bangles from a market stall at the Abbey Medieval Faire.

Absolutely Everybunny

Mules: Wittner suede
Bangle: Gift, Shanghai Markets jade
Bracelet: Gift, Wanfu jade beads

I'm so excited to finally share with you all the pictures from the Penny Family Easter celebrations! Over the next three posts, I'll share all the details of what I wore, what we did & how we decorated, along with little snippets of how the days unfolded.

For us, Good Friday is traditionally spent with family & dear friends, sharing a Scottish Breakfast of Salmon Mornay & Hot Cross Buns followed by fun & games (ping pong, board games, video games, toys for the littlies) with some laughter, good conversation & chocolate eggs thrown in for good measure. In honour of the occasion, I'm all dressed up in a gorgeous tulip embroidered mesh wiggle dress with fluted hemline & satin lining in autumnal tones of purple, cream & green on a black background from Anthea Crawford, black suede pointy-toed mules with a slight heel from Wittner & finally, a green jade beaded bracelet from Wanfu Jade & a thick jade bangle from the Shanghai Markets, both thoughtful souvenires/gifts that my brother brought home from a trip to China a few years ago.
