Just like that the Spring Racing season has come to a close & for those who may want more content, I have one final look for the year: this stunning outfit that I put together for a styling job in some of my favourite (secret) spots in my beloved River City. I'm wearing an utterly divine, pale blue ramie puff-sleeve button-down blouse with floral embellishments & matching pencil-style maxi skirt from Sheike, a pair of flesh-tone leather & elastic gladiator-style stiletto heels from Wittner for a modicum of height & a gorgeous off-white bamboo-embroidered velvet handbag with bamboo wood handle that I borrowed from my mother, who was kindly gifted it by a colleague. When it came to jewellery, I once again chose my jade pieces - a bangle from the Shanghai Markets & a beaded bracelet from Wanfu Jade to pick up on the shades inherent in the bag's embroidery & added the all-important faux pearl headband from Big W to complete the look.

More Spring Racing Carnival content with some delightful pictures of an outfit that I styled up to wear to a pre-race-day fashion show in my beloved River City. I'm wearing a gorgeous green & cream floral print jersey midi dress with high neckline & ruched waist detailing from Sheike, a pair of beige leather lace-up heels from Jo Mercer for height (nothing better than elongating my five foot frame while remaining comfortable) & a matching beige vinyl pouch bag that I picked up from my local TK Maxx store to carry all the essentials. When it came to jewellery, I took the opportunity to wear some of my treasured jade pieces that my younger brother brought back from a trip to China years ago - a bangle from the Shanghai Markets & a beaded bracelet from Wanfu Jade. To finish the look, I added that racewear staple - a ruched satin headpiece in the softest green from a boutique called Mooii.

High Stakes

Dress: Aje organza
Heels: Jo Mercer leather
Clutch: Witchery woven & coated straw
Cuff: Gift, Wallace Bishop silver
Headpiece: La Plume de Fleur via Etsy faux flowers

The final "big ticket" event in the Spring Racing season is Stakes Day, where attendees can be a little more casual & the dress code is a little more lenient. I've chosen to embrace this by wearing a bright organge organza puff-sleeve mini dress with plaiting detail from (once again) Australian designer label Aje with a pair of strappy silver leather heels from Jo Mercer for height, an envelope clutch made from natural woven straw coated with silver paint that I picked up many years ago now from Witchery to carry the essentials, a shiny silver cuff from Wallace Bishop & a gorgeous faux floral crown headpiece from the delightful La Plume de Fleur (via Etsy) that mimics Australian native flora & even includes gumnuts!
