So excited to finally be sharing all the pictures from a mother/daughter morning spent taking a trip back to the age of dinosaurs at Ipswich's Nicholas Street Precinct! The animatronic displays were absolutely amazing & timed to perfection thanks to sensor technology (making them roar when little children walked by... leading to some hilarious jump scares) & the realistic mega fauna borrowed from the Railway Workshops display reminded me of the Queensland Museum of my childhood. What a trip down memory lane! We took our time wandering around Tulmur Place among the incredibly well-behaved crowds before sitting down in one of the shaded seating areas to enjoy some food van donuts & Stella Rossa coffee from a local cafe... which also offered some hilarious dinosaur-themed dishes including dinosaur nuggets on a mashed potato volcano with cascading gravy & a little "Dinos Rule" flag on a toothpick!

For the occasion, I wore a gorgeous pastel checked cotton puff-sleeved, drop waisted midi dress from a label called Touche, sourced from the Roselle Store at Paddington & styled up with a pair of white & tan leather deco-inspired sandals from Easy Steps for the ideal fusion of comfort & style & a natural woven paper shoulder bag from Sussan to carry all the essentials (including facemask and hand sanitizer). When it came to jewellery, I chose some favourite pieces - my stack of vintage Mexican silver bangles that dear friends brought back from overseas & a single, heavier vintage bangle the my younger brother gave me from 20th Century Antiques & Collectibles as well as a funky beaded drop necklace in pastel shades that I picked up years ago from Thousand Island Dressing to complete the look.

Scroll down to see how it all unfolded...

Can't resist a selfie together!
