Watercolour

Necklace & Pendant: Prouds Jewellers silver
Bangle: Gift, vintage silver, mirror mosaic

Sometimes there's nothing nicer than "shopping your closet" for something that feels amazing to wear... & finding a beautiful gem like this stunning watercolour-print chiffon midi dress with asymmetrical tiers & thick satin lining from Anthea Crawford that I've somehow overlooked (I'm blaming the pandemic lockdown situation, personally...) is a welcome perk! I've styled it up with a pair of vintage-inspired metallic-sheen-mauve vegan leather deco heels from Kitten D'Amour, a natural woven straw handbag from Etsy for that touch of boho elegance that I love, a silver belcher necklace (given to me on the very last day of grade 12 by my parents) with oversized silver heart pendant from Prouds Jewellers & a vintage silver mirrored mosaic bangle that a dear friend gifted me after a trip to India to complete the look & add that little bit of daytime sparkle that we could all use in our lives at present.

Trenery in the Park

*

Dress: Trenery cotton poplin
Sandals: Birkenstock via Footgear leather
Bag: Country Road upcycled vinyl

*

Oh, those overcast afternoons in the local park with my cousin & her two rambunctious munchkins, riding bikes & scooters, climbing, tumbling, swinging on play equipment & running around on the grass, laughing & having a ton of fun! I'm wearing a simple, classic cotton shirtdress with a batik print twist in shades of navy, blue & white from Aussie label Trenery, a pair of white leather Birkenstocks (Gizeh style) from Footgear & a blue upcycled vinyl crossbody bag from Country Road to carry all the essentials while keeping my hands free. Looking forward to the day when we no longer have to wear masks around our nearest & dearest because of rapidly climbing case numbers, as well.

Magical, Musical Monochrome

*

Dress: Aje cotton
Heels: Kitten D'Amour vegan leather
Bag: Country Road upcycled vinyl
Hinged Bangle: Wallace Bishop silver
Bangle: Gift, vintage silver
Bracelet: Gift, bakelite

As a fledgling piano player (stymied by the pandemic for the moment) this stunning monochrome checked cotton smock from cool-girl label Aje with its exaggerated puff sleeves, mini length & "rustic" rough hemline, reminiscent of the ebony & ivory keys, really spoke to me. There's just something to incredibly striking about graphic-print monochrome, particularly when styled up for an event in my beloved River City with a pair of vibrant lipstick red vegan leather deco-inspired heels from Kitten D'Amour & an upcycled vinyl shoulder bag in a mixture of bright & dark vermillion hues from Aussie fashion stalwart Country Road. To complete the look, I added some of my all-time favourite jewellery pieces - a chunky silver hinged bangle from Wallace Bishop, a vintage silver bangle that was given to me by some dear friends & finally, a vintage bakelite bracelet in dark red (also gifted) to tie the whole look together.
