Another hot day in South East Queensland, another breezy slip dress for the win! This little linen number is from my local Target store & let me tell you - in all honesty - it looks & feels so much more expensive than it actually is & the colour choice gives it a real "modern classic" vibe. I've styled it up with a pair of blush leather lace-up sandals with floral satin tie straps from Milleni, a natural woven straw bucket bag with diamantes from the delightful Oh Jo Jo Boutique at the "top of town" in Ipswich, an art deco shell choker necklace that a dear friend gave me from a trip to the South Pacific & finally, a chunky turned wood bangle from funky boho store Ember & Twine to complete the look.

Feeling like Gidget (the Sally Field version) in this gorgeous little 1960s inspired matching set! The pink, cream & tan geometric printed linen slightly cropped top & three-quarter-length pedal pushers with paper bag waist are from this year's stunning Spring/Summer offering from Target Australia & I've styled them up with a pair of stone leather lace-up heels from Jo Mercer for height, a stone vinyl pouch bag from my local TK Maxx store to carry all the essentials & finally, an utterly divine pink beaded necklace with painted Murano glass seahorse that some dear friends brought back from overseas a few years ago to complete the look. Truly versatile, I can't wait to wear these sweet separates to the beach with a pair of tan sandals & a straw sunhat or even with a pair of pristine white sneakers & a white button-down shirt for a day at the park in the sunshine!

Finally sharing all the pictures of this gorgeous ensemble, worn recently to theatrical performance of Nathaniel Hawthorne's 1851 novel, "The House of Seven Gables," which chronicles the lives of a New England family & their ancestral home in Salem, Massachusetts. Dealing with themes such as witchcraft, retribution, justice & atonement, it certainly stands the "test of time" & holds resonance with audiences of today. For the occasion, I wore a black & silver floral jacquard midi dress with mesh bateau neckline that I discovered at Elly-Rae Fashions of Rosewood a few years ago, a pair of black leather lace-up heels from Jo Mercer for a modicum of height with the dress' refined silhouette & a black vinyl 90s inspired shoulder bag from Sussan to carry all the essentials. When it came to jewellery, I added a pop of colour with a green semi-precious stone chip necklace from bohemian wonderland Harmony Homewares, a jade bangle from the Shanghai Markets, a jade beaded bracelet from Wanfu Jade that my brother brought home from a trip to China & a deep green resin cocktail ring that a dear friend's little girl sent to me in the post.

Happily taking a trip to "Tinsel Town" for some more Christmas goodies in this sweet little matching set from my local Big W department store. The gorgeous tropical floral linen camisole top & three-quarter-length pants with paper bag waist & self-tie belt were a cool & comfortable choice, particularly when mixed with a pair of white & tan leather art-deco-inspired sandals from Easy Step via Myer & a white painted cane circular crossbody bag with tan leather strap from Renee Loves Frances to carry all the essentials while keeping my hands free to rummage.
