Sharing pictures of "May Day" afternoon shenanigans at the park with my cousin & her two rambunctious munchkins who certainly enjoyed having a long weekend! I'm posing under the gorgeous tree-lined path in a sweet floral cotton tiered midi dress with shirred bodice & ruffled straps from Kitten D'Amour, woven cropped cardigan in shades of pink, navy & camel from bohemian emporium Ghanda, comfortable yet stylish blue leather sneakers from Frankie4 Footwear with a pair of white ribbed cotton Target socks for good measure & a black nylon crossbody bag from Nautica to carry all the essentials. Also pictured is my woven sunhat from Before Sunset to ward off the Queensland sun's harmful rays.

For the final installment of my birthday celebration posts, I'm sharing pictures from a very special family dinner at one of our all time favourite haunts, Creole Soul Kitchen in Spring Hill where we enjoyed some of our favourite Cajun comfort food in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. I've loved coming here for years & in all honesty, it NEVER disappoints! When it came to clothing, I decided to pull out all the stops as it was a warmer evening in Brissie & donned this utterly amazing emerald green silk/cotton mini dress with blouson top, bow shoulder detailing & fluted skirt from Sheike, styled up with a pair of black matte leather pointy-toed booties from Wittner & a black vinyl cyclindrical handbag from Beach n Beyond to carry all the essentials. With regards to jewellery, I wore two of my favourite pieces, given to me on my 30th birthday by my family - a beautiful pewter, semi-precious stone & Swarovski crystal cuff that was handmade in Paris by a label called Gian Paolo Maria that was found at the Lannah Dunn store that used to be in the Tattersall's Arcade & a Swarovski crystal, semi-precious stone & silver cocktail ring to match.

Following on from yesterday's blog post, I'm sharing more pictures from my recent 40th birthday celebrations - this time, a devonshire tea with family members under the pergola in the balmy Queensland weather. For the occasion, I wore this gorgeous white & yellow floral cototn voile shirred maxi dress with dainty tie straps, tiered hemline & a bohemian-inspired shell & twine belt from famed Australian designer Zimmermann, styled up with a retro-inspired yellow knitted crop cardigan from Kitten D'Amour, silver leather t-bar sandals with faux pearl & studs from Carvela by Kurt Geiger, a brushed silver cuff from Wallace Bishop & a vintage 1960s silver plate leaf bracelet with oversized charm (engraved with my initial "F") that some dear friends gave me last Christmas for that touch of daytime shine.
