So excited to share pictures from the final night of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival Brisbane, specifically Group Fashion Show 2 which was held in front of QUT's majestic Old Government House under a canopy of stars & which I was fortunate enough to be invited to as a guest of one of my all-time favourite Australian labels, Sacha Drake. For those who are unfamiliar, MBFF is "Brisbane's premier annual fashion event, coinciding with the arrival of new-season Spring/Summer collections in store" & spotlighting the epitome of talented local, national & emerging designers, retailers & creatives.

For the event, I wore the stunning "Kelly" dress with its sumptuous velvet floral lace bodice complete with funky racer-back for that touch of sporty-luxe & voluminous embellished organza skirt with white satin underlay & high/low hem from Sacha Drake (it's still available by all accounts & would be perfect for Derby Day - click here to be redirected to the website) cropped black leather jacket from Portmans to ward off the chill in the night air, retro-inspired black stretch lace & velvet corset belt from Kitten D'Amour to cinch in my waist, shiny black patent ankle boots from Wittner to elongate my legs & a boxy suede & vinyl handbag with oversized silver handles from French Connection to carry all the essentials. Such an extravagant look required little embellishment in the form of jewellery, save for two divine, moulded resin pieces from Dinosaur Designs - the wave bangle & flower ring the ideal complement to the outfit as a whole.

Scroll down for a peek at how the evening unfolded, as well as some snapshots of Sacha Drake's component of the fashion show...
