Feeling "bold in the cold" weather wearing this stunning ensemble full of print & texture to a recent special event in my beloved River City! The entire looks is based around this gorgeous almost "opaline" leaf print, midi-length, long-sleeved chiffon dress from Australian designer Anthea Crawford, cinched in at the waist with a wide elastic & vegan leather belt from retro-inspired That Shop & styled up with a pair of shiny black patent heeled booties from Wittner for a modicum of height, black fishnet tights with a little line of satin bows running down the back of each leg from Dangerfield for added texture, a black vinyl cylindrical handbag from Beach n Beyond at Coolangatta to carry all the essentials & finally, a stack of faceted bead bracelets from Jeweled Bazaar Boutique via Etsy to complete the look & pick up on the tones inherent in the dress print for cohesion.

Finally sharing all the pictures from a glorious mother/daughter shopping morning in the River City's Queen Street Mall followed by a delicious lunch with my younger brother at Longtime Yum Cha! For the occasion, I wore an utterly divine black, blush & gold floral silk burnout wrap dress with black jersey slip from Australian label Sacha Drake styled up with a pair of black vegan leather dual buckle heels & natural woven handbag with black beaded handle from retro-inspired label Kitten D'Amour, a stack of vintage Mexican silver bangles that some dear friends brought back from overseas, a single hinged bangle in the shape of an art deco wave that I my parents gave me as a birthday gift a few years ago that was sourced from the delightful ladies at Precious Stones Jewellers in Uptown (formerly The Myer Centre) & finally, a handcarved bamboo bangle from Coastal Luxe Homewares at Mooloolaba for that bohemian finishing touch that I love so much.

Great food, beautiful surroundings, amazing company... it doesn't get much better than this... well, unless my father & sister-in-law were able to join us, that is!

I've always loved all things Betty Boop so being able to check out "Boop: The Musical" with a dear friend was definitely something extra special! For the occasion, I wore the ubiquitous red & black colour palette - a gorgeous floral crepe bias-cut midi dress with side split from City Chic to capture the 1920s/30s vibes styled up with a black floral eyelash lace cropped bolero with satin neckline from Kitten D'Amour to ward off the chill in the air & a pair of black leather pointy-toed, heeled booties from Wittner for a modicum of height. When it came to jewellery, I chose a silver & onyx charm bangle from Pandora with matching silver & onyx heart cocktail ring that were given to me by as a birthday present a few years ago to complete the sweet & flirty look.
