Lately

A morning under the mango tree wearing a floral embroidered mesh midi dress from Anthea Crawford with a stunning blue knitted silk cropped cardigan from retro-inspired label Kitten D'Amour, a pair of shiny metallic & lurex heels from Carvela & a vintage black silk handbag with tassel detail & gold clasp & chain strap that a dear friend sent from overseas to complete the look.

Leopard print is a neutral... particularly when its this Anthea Crawford heavy satin pleated midi dress with asymmetrical neckline mixed with a pair of black leather pointy-toed booties from Wittner, a black vinyl cylindrical handbag from Beach n Beyond & a stunning black grosgrain ribbon & beaded bow belt (with self-tie) from Review.

All dressed up for my birthday 80s Karaoke morning wearing this Madonna-esque pink floral lace mesh midi dress with sweetheart neckline, boned bodice & satin ribbon tie straps (added by me) & matching chunky pink patent Mary Janes with dual buckles - both from Dangerfield - that I styled up with an indigo denim jacket from my local Big W store (size down for a tighter, more cropped fit over dresses), a floral vinyl handbag from Leona Edmiston that some dear friends gave me as a Christmas present last year & some special jewellery pieces in the form of a black resin & gold hinged bangle & matching gold teardrop ring with onyx stone from Samanta Wills to complete the look.

Vegetable Frittata with Crispy Chips & Side Salad from Brothers Leagues Club really hits the spot in the late afternoon...

When that Little Black Dress has those divine details...
Heading out in this gorgeous black satin-backed-crepe, bias-cut, cold-shoulder number from Australian designer Anthea Crawford, styled up with a pair of black leather pointy-toed heeled booties from Wittner, a black vinyl cylindrical bag from Beach n Beyond Boutique to carry all the essentials, a chunky hinged bangle in the shape of a wave from the delightful ladies at Precious Stones Jewellers in Uptown & a chunky tribal cuff (originally Najo) from there as well.

Nothing beats Taco Tuesday...

Celebrating with a belated Mothers Day lunch of takeaway DeeDot Cafe (with homemade chocolate chip cupcakes for dessert!) when some family members returned from a recent trip to the Phillippines. Dressing for that bizarre, in-between, hot/cold weather with a gorgeous orange boat print cotton puff-sleeve mini dress with deep v-neckline from Sheike, a beige stretch microfibre slip from Myer for modesty purposes, a chunky orange & a purple knitted cardigan from my local K Mart store (check out the kids' section for chunky knits in cropped shapes) to ward off the chill in the air. When it came to accessories, I chose a pair of tan leather pointy-toed mules from Wittner, a matching tan leather crossbody bag from Elk via the delightful Mott & Mulberry boutique, a stack of vintage Mexican silver bangles, a vintage silver bangle from 20th Century Antiques & Collectibles & a 1969 glow-in-the-dark peace sign ring to complete the look.

Enjoying the last vestiges of warm weather before the winter frosts in this gorgeous yellow & white broderie englaise maxi dress with extreme off-shoulder puff sleeves & side split from Forever New (white grosgrain ribbon straps added by me), dotted with purple, pink & organge silk floral corsages from retro-inspired label Kitten D'Amour & a pair of flesh-tone leather & elastic gladiator-style stiletto heels from Wittner for a final bohemian twist.

All dressed up for a morning in town wearing this stunning floral jacquard puff-sleeve mini dress with deep v-neckline from Australian fashion stalwart Witchery that I've cinched in with a thin black leather rope belt from KitX by designer Kit Willow, a pair of black leather lace-up heels from Jo Mercer for a modicum of height, a black vinyl cylindrical handbag from Beach n Beyond Boutique at The Strand at Coolangatta & a chunky silver hinged bangle from Wallace Bishop for that touch of daytime shine.
