Keeping it simple & ever-so-slightly retro in these gorgeous pictures, taken at a local park that really is like stepping into another world, a peaceful rural idyll in the middle of a busy cityscape. I'm posing under the gum trees wearing a gorgeous black & blue floral cotton 50s fit-to-flare midi dress from Retrospec'd, blue woven silk cropped cardigan from Kitten D'Amour to ward off the slight chill in the air & a pair of black matte & patent leather loafers from Pitillos that I picked up in a recent sale at Obsession Shoes at the "top of town" in Ipswich for the perfect fusion of comfort & style.

Little White Rock

 

Finally sharing all the gorgeous pictures from a late wintertime bush walk to Little White Rock with my cousin & her two rambunctious munchkins. We chose the shorter version of the walk, which takes around an hour and a half & has some steps & boulders to climb before reaching the lookout point where you feel absolutely "on top of the world" among the tree tops. It was a great way to spend a weekend afternoon - in the fresh air in great company! Scroll down to see how it all unfolded...

Setting off...

For the walk, I wore a comfortable butterfly print linen shirred midi dress with puff sleeves from David Jones' own label, styled up with a pair of white leather sneakers with black patent stripes from Adidas, little white cotton socks from Bonds for comfort, a black nylon crossbody bag from Nautica via my local TK Maxx store to carry all the essentials (shout out to Renee for carrying my water bottle in her backpack, though!) & a woven sunhat from Before Sunset to keep my face protected from the late afternoon sun.
