As much as I love bright colours & crazy prints, sometimes it's wonderful to embrace a softer palette in colours like blush, white & beige. As the rain continues to pour outside my window, I'm thinking back to much warmer, much sunnier days in South East Queensland... a mere couple of weeks ago! On that occasion, I was endeavouring to "beat the heat" as I headed out to the shops in a gorgeous pink, red & white Indian block cotton maxi dress with tie straps from Pink City Prints that I picked up secondhand (at a third of the original sale price!) from Restyld Co in Paddington, a pair of lipstick red vegan leather wedge heels with t-bar straps & white stitching from Kitten D'Amour for a modicum of height & a matching upcycled polyester quilted crossbody bag from my local Cotton On store to carry all the essentials while keeping my hands free.

Finally sharing all the pictures of this beautiful baroque-inspired maxi dress from boho-luxe Australian designer Camilla that I recently wore to an event in my beloved River City! Cooler temperatures have never dissuaded me from wearing bright & beautiful floral prints of every size, shape, colour & material & this gorgeous cotton dress with its black floral stretch lace waistband & cuffs, deep v-neckine & subtle diamantes on the back yolk had my heart the very moment I laid eyes on it! I've styled it up with a pair of black leather & elastic gladiator-style heels from Wittner for a modicum of height, a vintage red leather crossbody bag (label unknown) from a seller on online emporium Etsy & a chunky green lucite coiled snake bangle with red diamante eye from Mrs Polly's Lucite (given to me by some dear friends) to complete the look.
