Another day, another festive blog post... this time featuring the gorgeous pictures taken at Brothers Leagues Club in Ipswich while on a lunch date with a dear family friend just before Christmas. For the occasion, I'm wearing a gorgeous navy, white & pink oriental floral print ramie shirtdress with woven belt from a label called Lorrainne that I discovered at the delightful Oh Jo Jo Boutique, a pair of blush vegan leather, rubber & woven rope wedges by Bay Lane that I picked up at Obsession Shoes for a modicum of height while remaining comfortable & a natural woven straw crossbody bag from my local Target that I've had for the past five years or so that just adds a nice bohemian flavour to whatever I'm wearing. When it came to jewellery, I chose some sweet gold pieces: a pair of gold bangles from Lovisa for some daytime shine & a delicate gold cuff with multicoloured diamante details from Turkish Bazaar that was a very thoughtful Christmas gift this year to complete the look.

'Tis the season to celebrate with dearest family & friends & these pictures - taken at Carina Leagues Club a week or so out from the "big day" - certainly show what an amazing time we had dining on some mouth-watering fare & marking a slew of December birthdays as well as partaking in all the festive frivolity... albeit inside where there was plentiful air-conditioning away from the Queensland summertime heat & humidity. For the occasion, I wore a gorgeous navy & cream shell embroidered cotton puff-sleeve midi-length shirtdress from a label caled Little Couquette that I picked up from the delightful Oh Jo Jo Boutique, styled up with a pair of gold metallic leather woven heels from Bresley that I found at Obsession Shoes (my absolutely go-to for all things footwear at the "top of town" in Ipswich) for a modicum of height, a woven cream, navy & blue striped handbag with wood beaded handle from TK Maxx to carry all the essentials & some funky jewellery pieces - a pair of wooden bangles from Thousand Island Dressing to keep the beachy/bohemian theme going & a single gold bangle from Lovisa (given to me as a birthday present from a dear family friend) to pick up on the shirtdress' gold buttons & add a touch of shine to complete the look.

It's no secret that I absolutely adore kitschy, eclectic & downright bizarre prints & patterns, along with classical favourites such as florals, stripes & polka dots. This little mini shirt dress with puffy sleeves & 1970s-inspired collar is from Aussie designer Karen Walker's diffusion label, Hi There from Karen Walker & is made from an amazing navy & white abstract-horse-silhouette-printed cotton. It looks funky when styled up with a pair of white leather strappy heels from Wittner & a boxy, hardcase holographic silver vinyl & white leather shoulder bag with silver hardware & a natural twine tassel from Country Road but could also be dressed up or down depending on the day/weather/event. I'm thinking a pair of white leather gladiator sandals & woven tote bag with swimming togs underneath for a morning at the beach or alternatively (at the other end of the spectrum) a pair of navy leather heels & vintage navy beaded handbag for late afternoon drinks with friends...

I'm posing in an utterly divine long-sleeved, polyblend shirtdress from Studio W in a deep shade of brown with black, white & yellow tropical flowers, cinched in with a shiny black patent elastic belt from HellBunny via That Shop, black patent ankle boots from Wittner, boxy suede handbag with oversized silver handles from French Connection & a vibrant yellow resin ring from Thousand Island Dressing to provide a "pop" of colour.
