Lately...

Blue Monday in this stunning baroque floral brocade puff mini dress from Sister Jane's premium diffusion line, Dream Sister Jane, worn with a pair of navy patent leather loafers from Paul Green via Peter Sheppard Shoes & a silver belcher necklace with oversized heart pendant from Prouds Jewellers for that touch of daytime shine.

Beautiful blooms!
Thank you Sally-Anne & family for the utterly divine sunflowers...

My all-time favourite dessert - a homemade Condensed Milk & Lemon Juice Tart!

Sunny & bright in a gorgeous yellow, pink & gold floral jacquard midi dress from New Zealand designer Trelise Cooper, styled up for an appointment with a pair of tan suede pointy-toed mules from Wittner, a woven straw circular crossbody bag from City Beach with a soft pink mesh scarf tied around the strap from Kitten D'Amour & finally, a vintage silver bangle from 20th Century Antiques & Collectibles to complete the look.

Can't resist these colourful chocolate coins from my local TK Maxx store...

Afternoon tea with friends at Cafe 63... would definitely return for the spiced calamari & waffle fries, washed down with an iced chocolate... & the company, of course!

Nothing better than a mini dress & long gloves! This gorgeous little black & purple floral jacquard number is from Dream Sister Jane, the black leather heeled booties are from Wittner & the stunning opera gloves once belonged to my Nanna, so are extra special & the perfect finishing touch...

Maccas run at the park in the sunshine... something hot chips just really hit the spot...

My pride & joy - this amazing dollhouse, made just for me by an old man called Mr Cuffs who used to go to the same church as we did. It's bespoke & one-of-a-kind & such a joy to rediscover & redecorate as an adult... not to mention filling it with delightful furnishings & mousey characters from Danish brand Maileg as well as sweet little miniatures from online emporium Etsy & from my own collection...

Perfecting our homemade pizza endeavours... & yes, we still eat off these plates that I decorated when I was in kindergarten/pre-school...

Dressed & ready to head out for an afternoon with the girls wearing this stunning floral linen/silk ruffled mini dress with thick belt & woven straw belt buckle from Forever New, a pair of tan leather ankle boots with silver zippers from Renee Loves Frances, a boho luxe woven straw circular crossbody bag with tan leather strap from Harmony Homewares & a trio of silver, gold & brass studded bangles from Tree of Life to complete the look...

Arty

Sharing all the beautiful pictures from a morning spent checking out the "Rauschenberg & Johns: Significant Others" exhibition at the Ipswich Art Gallery before heading off to a fashion event a little later in the day. It was nice to be able to meander around the gallery & take time to become fully immersed in the artwork & the era (late 1960s New York City) that led to its creation...

For the occasion, I dressed in shades of blue & navy - a gorgeous navy & duck egg blue embroidered spot chiffon high-neck midi dress with elastic waist & self-tie belt from "girly" Australian label Review, a 1980s-style denim jacket with an exaggerated cocoon shape from Bianca Spender to ward off the chill in the air, a pair of navy patent leather heeled booties from Wittner, navy 40 denier nylon tights from Razzamatazz & a funky navy vinyl circular crossbody bag with pompom strap from French Connection to carry all the essentials (face mask, hand sanitizer) while keeping my hands free. When it came to jewellery, I chose some favourites - a vintage silver bangle from 20th Century Antiques & Collectibles (formerly of Coolangatta, now Tweed Heads) & a stack of vintage Mexican silver bangles gifted to me by some dear friends who now reside overseas.

Natural Witchery

Dress: Witchery cotton
Mules: Wittner matte leather
Bag: Elk via Mott & Mulberrry leather
Brooch: Gift, Rugrats enamel
Sunglasses: Quay via TK Maxx resin

There's nothing better than a dress that does "double duty..." especially if that same dress keeps going winter after winter & looks just as good as the day it was purchased... Case in point: this stunning baroque floral cotton option from Australian fashion stalwart Witchery with its shirred bodice, high neckline & ruched cuffs that looks just as amazing all dressed up with heels & a clutch as it does with a pair of tan leather pointy-toed mules from Wittner & a matching tan leather crossbody bag from Elk via Mott & Mulberry boutique for a leisurely lunch at a local parklands cafe. I've only added minimal accessories in the form of a "Rugrats" enamel brooch (featuring Angelica Pickles, my all-time favourite character) that was given to me by my brother & sister-in-law on my birthday this year & a pair of purple resin cat's eye sunglasses from Quay that I picked up from my local TK Maxx store for under $10, which is pretty much the bargain of the century.

A final few for good measure...
