Thinking "sunshiny" thoughts on this cool & breezy long weekend & reminiscing about a recent casual trip to my local Garden Centre/Nursery in the utterly divine pastel striped linen Prismatic Jumpsuit from hipster/coolgirl label Gorman, styled up with a pair of funky purple vegan leather slingback heels (also Gorman) & a matching purple woven straw circular handbag with rope strap from online emporium Shein to carry all the essentials.

Zeus

*

Jumpsuit: Nine Lives Bazaar eco vero
Mules: Wittner suede
Clutch: Adorne guipure lace, wood
Bracelet: Gift, vintage shell pieces
Bangle: Gift, vintage shell mosaic

As the weather cools down & the humidity remains low, it's nice to finally be able to bring out some dresses & jumpsuits in heavier fabrics & more covered styles, suitable for the change in seasons here in South East Queensland. Case in point: the utterly divine Zeus Jumpsuit in this stunning baroque floral printed eco vero fabric jumpsuit with keyhole neckline & detachable cape detail from boho-luxe label Nine Lives Bazaar! Let me tell you that much like it's namesake (the chief Greek deity/head of all the Ancient Greek gods) it truly is something very, very special & a real compliment magnet! I've styled it up for an event in my beloved River City with a pair of black suede pointy-toed mules from Aussie shoe design stalwart Wittner, a funky black guipure lace pouch-style clutch bag with light wood clasp from Adorne to carry all the essentials & matching vintage shell bracelet & bangle that dear friends gifted me for Christmas last year.

Backyard

During the darkest days of the pandemic, my garden became a source of comfort, calm & refuge from everything going on in the world & the relentless cycle of bad news as now, as we start to emerge from the Covid 19 bubble with cases still on the upswing, the cost of living rapidly increasing, a federal election in five weeks & a war in the Ukraine, it appears that I may be needing the restorative power & irrepressible optimism of nature for the forseeable future. Here are four little snippets of floral-centric outfits that never made it beyond my front door but provided hope, happiness & inspiration for me & I hope for you, too....

The third look, with its more muted tones, is happy "sitting pretty" on the wrought-iron swing in the dappled sunshine & is made up of a beautiful pink & green palm & hibiscus print linen smock dress with ruffled neckline & tie from Sussan & a pair of relaxed molded rubber & satin "surf sandals" from Aldo.
