Summerland

So excited to share pictures from a leisurely morning spent exploring Summer Land Camel Farm in picturesque Harrisville with my parents. The pandemic of the last two & a half years has really caused us to take a look at outdoor attractions that aren't too far from home & this one has been a revelation - delicious, piping hot coffee made on soothing camel's milk (cow's milk or soy milk available on request for those who would prefer it), a homestead-turned-cafe with wrap around verandah to capture the views of the rolling hills, sweet natured camels to feed for $2 a chaff bag, camel rides for the adventurous and a shop kitted out with all manner of food products, skincare, plush toys & even alcohol.

Scroll down to see how it all unfolded...

For the trip, I wore a gorgeous, bohemian blue, navy & white Indian floral printed cotton midi dress with deep v-neckline, puff sleeves, ruffled hemline & delicate white lace piping from Aussie label Adrift, a black stretch lace bralette from my local Tree of Life store for modesty purposes, a pair of upcycled/recycled denim limited edition Converse high top sneakers, black 40 denier nylon tights from Razzamatazz to keep my legs warm & a black vinyl & nylon crossbody bag from Nautica to keep my hands free for camel feeding! When it came to jewellery, I wore some favourite pieces - a vintage silver bangle from 20th Century Antiques & Collectibles in Coolangatta (sadly now closed) & a stack of vintage Mexican silver bangles that were gifted to me by some dear friends who live overseas for that finishing touch of daytime shine.
