Lately...

All dressed up for coffee with a friend in downtown Ipswich on a hot & humid afternoon. I'm keeping it simple & wearing a gorgeous white broderie puff-sleeve midi dress with shirred bodice & embellishment (added by me) from Australian label Steele via David Jones & a pair of green faux snakeskin vegan leather sandals & matching handbag from Princess Highway to complete the look & add a little edge.

Nothing beats homemade blueberry muffins!

Dressed up & ready for an event in the River City wearing this gorgeous graphic floral print chiffon fit-to-flare midi dress with sweetheart neckline & thin straps from celebrated Australian designer & one of my all time favourites Anthea Crawford, cinched in with a wide green patent leather belt from Review, a pair of black vegan leather dual buckle heels from Kitten D'Amour, a black vinyl shoulder bag from Sussan to carry all the essentials & some favourite silver jewellery pieces - a chunky hinged bangle from Wallace Bishop & thin hinged bangle from Oxfam, purchased waaaaay back when they had retail stores at most shopping centres.

*

Obsessed with Gong Cha bubble tea... so much so that I almost cried happy tears when they opened a store at Orion Springfield Central...

Flashback time! Can't wait to wear this outfit again as it never dates... a monochrome spotted chiffon midi dress with high neckline & pussy-bow from Zimmermann, white embroidered mesh kimono from Esteems Boutique at Coolangatta to ward off the chill in the air, a pair of funky silver glitter flat ankle boots from Rollie via Adavera Footwear at Paddington (honestly, the lightest & most comfortable shoes or boots that I have EVER owned) & a silver bracelet from a little boutique in Maleny.

*

Taking a deep breath & taking the plunge & looking into getting this little guy - one of my all-time favourite Christmas presents that I ever received from Santa Claus - cleaned, repaired & up & running again. Can't wait to hear the accompanying Sesame Street songs & books & see his little eyes & beak move... ah, sentimentality...

*

Fun times! Taking the opportunity on a cooler, mosquito-free day to build something with his Christmas present - a vintage Ezy Bilt set from the inimitable Vintage Advantage store at the Top of Town - for my new Maileg mouse...

Living out all my childhood "Little Mermaid" dreams in this ensemble, worn on a very, very hot day to afternoon tea with friends. This stunning, bright pink jacquard midi dress with shirred bodice from Dream Sister Jane (last worn on Christmas Day 2022) look beautiful with a pair of leather Mary Jane sandals from Shoe Obsession, a gifted silver & rainbow resin mermaid brooch with faux pearl detailing (thanks Susan) & a pair of ombre resin sunglasses that I picked up recently from Camp Hill Antiques to protect my eyes from the sun & complete the look.

Little birthday present sneak peek...

Elixir of Life!

My favourite little tableux... very "Romeo & Juliet" if he had a 1920s motorcar & she was a tiny little mouse who lived in a faux pot plant beside an Edwardian dollhouse...

More flashbacks!
This time, a beautiful black jersey & iridescent blue floral pleated midi dress from celebrated Australian designer Anthea Crawford styled up with a pair of black patent leather heels from Novo (long gone after disintegrating in the relentless Queensland humidity), an iridescent sequinned clutch from Adorne & finally, two gold & enamel Chinese hinged bangles that a dear friend brought back from a trip years ago.

A little peek at a certain person's 40th Birthday present!

Finally finished making this darling little wooden "book nook" that my brother & sister-in-law thoughtfully gave me for Christmas. I'm actually surprised at how good it looks considering my complete lack of ability for all things "arts & crafts" & how teeny tiny all the pieces were! I'm seriously chuffed!
