Antique Crawl

Spent a leisurely, sunny Saturday doing what I love the most... antiquing with my younger brother, browsing through all manner of bric-a-brac for hidden gems from all eras that I can add to my eclectic home decor. This time, we decided to stay on the western side of Brisbane, heading to places in the Oxley, Sherwood & Paddington areas, as well as stopping at the delightful Plentiful Cafe for a delicious long lunch.

Scroll down to see how it all unfolded...

For the occasion, I wore a bohemian-inspired blue & white baroque floral print cotton voile puff sleeve midi dress with bateau neckline, embroidered yoke detailing & elasticated waist with pull ties from Australian label Shona Joy that I discovered at online emporium The Iconic, a pair of black matte & patent leather boots with buttons (ones I like to call my "Anne of Green Gables boots") from Wittner for the ideal fusion of comfort & style, black 40 denier nylon tights from Razzamatazz to keep my legs feeling toasty-warm & a black nylon crossbody bag from Nautica via my local TK Maxx store to carry all the essentials (face mask, hand sanitizer) while leaving my hands free to rummage. When it came to jewellery, I chose some favourite pieces - a vintage silver bangle from 20th Century Antiques & Collectibles that my younger brother bought me for my birthday a few years ago & a stack of vintage Mexican silver bangles from some dear friends who live overseas to complete the look.
