Are you sure that we are awake? It seems to me that yet we sleep, we dream...
All dressed up & ready to attend a transcendent performance of Shakespeare's famed "A Midsummer Night's Dream" (1595) with a dear friend. I'm wearing a whimsical navy, blush & gold floral embroidered mesh midi dress with fluted sleeves & satin lining from celebrated Australian designer Anthea Crawford, styled up with a hand-dyed, handwoven silk & felt wrap that I discovered at a little stall at the Ipswich Antique Centre, a pair of blush suede slingbacks with buckle at the ankle & stacked wooden heels from Forever New & a boxy blush vinyl handbag from Olga Berg at Myer to carry all the essentials. Jewellery was kept minimal yet statement-making with a chunky wave-shaped art deco hinged bangle from the delightful Precious Stones Jewellers in Uptown Brisbane (formerly the Myer Centre) & a silver, gold & blush beaded wrap bangle from Thousand Island Dressing at Paddington for that touch of daytime sparkle & shine.
